Description

Furthermore, the aspect ratio of the OPPO A17 is 20:9 so that you can enjoy vivid and crystal clear visuals while watching videos, playing games, or streaming movies online.. Dark <40 lumens: The standard (not night mode) struggles with washed-out monitor screens but does a reasonable job otherwise. It has a single amplifier that drives the mono earpiece in phone mode, if in hand-free or music mode and a down-firing bottom speaker. All are fit for purpose. Wi-Fi is a maximum of 433Mbps, keeping the 5GHz signal to 10m from the router.

ColorOS is a light touch over Android and is easy to use. OPPO A17 Camera – Good in day and office light – Pass The OPPO A17 definitely isn't the right call if you're interested in mobile gaming. While Vampire Survivors ran smoothly enough, firing up Marvel Snap resulted in a stuttery experience. Installing more demanding games like Diablo Immortal is entirely out of the question. When it comes to the camera, the Oppo A17 takes the lead with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor, compared to the Motorola E13’s 13MP primary camera. However, both devices have a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Powerful reception signal but cannot find the adjacent three towers. For city/suburbs or areas where there is a tower nearby. For the price, we expect USB-C, not micro-USB. We know the SoC can charge at 30W, but it has not been enabled as it has in the A57s (same SoC) The OPPO A17 includes a 5,000mAh battery which has an extremely long life, and comes with a 10W charger in the box. Under the hood the Oppo A17 has a lot to offer in both the hardware and software sides including a 50-megapixel AI main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera which can deliver stunning photos and videos.

Night mode – why bother? It gives it a little more detail and colour but at the expense of dynamic range. Various connectivity options on the OPPO A17 include WiFi - 802.11, a/b/g/n/n 5GHz, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth - v5.3, and 4G (supports Indian bands), 3G, 2G. Sensors on the OPPO A17 include Geomagnetic Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gravity Sensor. There are a capable pair of rear-facing cameras – a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide sensor – which, thanks to the N2 Flip's huge 3.26-inch portrait cover display, can be used to snap high-quality selfies and video, with ease.OPPO A17 is powered with Octa core (2.3 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) MediaTek Helio G35 processor so that you can enjoy a seamless performance while accessing multiple applications at the same time. Also, the phone comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage so that you can store various files like songs, videos, games and more without worrying about space constraints. Besides, the OPPO A17 runs Android v12 operating system and houses a decent 5000 mAh battery that lets you use it for a longer time duration while watching movies, listening to songs, playing games and doing other stuff without worrying about battery drainage. But AI depends on processor strength, and the MediaTek SoC does not have enough to make a significant difference with this 50MP sensor. It takes decent pictures in day or office light but is inadequate in low light. Perhaps the worst lag I suffered was keyboard input, which was frustratingly slow – something Scott also found with his review on the budget focused OPPO A57s. There were times when entering text I was waiting for the phone to catch up, with it displaying what I’d typed after a few seconds – but other times saw it miss half of what I typed and put together a mish-mash, forcing me to start again. It will not run OpenCL or Vulkan GPU tests and falls over in GFX Bench T-Rex and Manhattan tests. Simply put, the GPU is not for gaming. The 64GB (39B free) storage is eMMC 5.1 and is slow – CPDT sequential read/ write is 202/123Mbps. A micro-SD card (to 1TB) is 80/27MBps. It will accept an external micro-USB flash drive (maximum size unknown but likely 64GB) but not external SSDs at 24/7MBps.

At this price/ mono is all you can expect, and it is focused on clear voice. It is too tinny for most music genres. Throttling loses 9% of its power under load over 15 minutes with a maximum of 96,375 GIPS, an average of 91,363 and a minimum of 72,292. It is not a powerhouse – a reasonable SD4XX processor has closer to 150,000 GIPS. Comms Wi-Fi 5 AC, BT 5.0 but no NFC – Passable

TWO AND A HALF STARS (OUT OF FIVE)

I have a OnePlus phone and since I couldn't get a OnePlus watch, I did some research and found the Oppo Watch Free which is a part of BBK Electronics which also make OnePlus phones, it thankfully works perfectly with my phone. OPPO is now #2 in Australia for Android smartphone market share. It has achieved that through excellent product and after-sales service. Oppo A17 mobile was launched in September 2022. The phone comes with a 6.56-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 720x1612 pixels. Oppo A17 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM. The Oppo A17 runs Android 12 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery.
