Description

DELTA mini can be used as an emergency power supply (EPS), which has the same result as a UPS for most electronics. Here’s the difference: When your DELTA mini is plugged into the wall, any electronics plugged into it get power from the grid, not its battery. When power from the grid stops, it switches to battery supply mode within 30 milliseconds. During that time, sensitive electronics like desktop computers and data servers may turn off, but most devices will run as normal. Can I Use It as a Solar Generator? Fully charging my iPad Air used about 6% of the DELTA mini's capacity and took under 1.5 hours. Brad Moon The settings area is equally impressive, opening more functionality that will be appreciated by those using the DELTA mini on a more regular basis. For increasing longevity, or just not wanting to deplete the unit out in the field, EcoFlow lets you set the discharge and charge percentage levels. By default, this is 0 to 100%, but you can tighten that up to narrow the charge cycles for increased battery longevity. Bumping up the discharge from 0% also lets you set a built-in reserve. EcoFlow says the power station should keep a 40W CPAP machine going for about 13 hours. If you take it out to the yard or bush where electrical outlets may not be available, it can power a 1400W circular saw for 30 minutes. Recommendation

For home users, the Delta Mini’s DC outputs probably won’t attract much attention. But for van life and RV purposes, the DC outputs get a lot of use with things like 12v mini fridges and other mobile appliances. The 12v cigarette plug can do 126 watts, which might be cutting it close for some mini fridges. There are only two buttons on the front of the case, a big yellow on/off button as well as an IoT reset button. On and off is pretty obvious, while the IoT button allows you to configure remote access. The DELTA mini has a feature-rich app that really makes it stand out from other models on the market, which we will get into shortly. Finally, the front includes a USB-C port, two USB A ports and a fast-charge USB-A port. You can! With our special accessory (coming soon), the DELTA mini will double as a portable battery booster. TLDR: Yes. There really aren’t any glaring flaws with EcoFlow’s Delta Mini. The price point is right, the AC output delivers, the AC fast charging is a game changer, and even the EcoFlow app is pretty good. Heavy items will require the recipient to make arrangements to take delivery of the goods and may require the recipient to help the courier unload the item. For items that are delivered on a pallet the courier will leave the pallet as close to your door as possible. More output means more power options. Get a portable power station with a high output so you can power your appliances like fridges, dryers, or even power tools. All EcoFlow portable power stations come with X-Boost technology, which extends the output just in case you need to power the heavy-duty stuff. Portability

DELTA mini’s technical specs for solar input are 300W, 11–75V DC, and 10A max. In practical terms, you can connect multiple solar panels in series (i.e., connecting one panel directly to the next) as long as their combined open-circuit voltage doesn’t go over 75V. Can I Use It as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)? The DELTA mini solar generator can be charged in different ways. This is fastest via the mains adapter. The device has a fast charge input of 900 W via mains power and can therefore be fully charged within 2 hours (for 80% in 1 hour). The DELTA mini can be charged via solar panels within 4-6 hours in good weather conditions. The maximum input for this is 300 W. Clear and easy to use display of the DELTA Mini Whether you call it a portable power station or a solar generator, they are fundamentally battery-powered devices. Another thing to look out for is the battery chemistry and battery management system they use. EcoFlow portable power stations all have a unique battery management system that regulates current, voltage, and temperature in real-time. The type of battery chemistry will depend on the type of application you use your battery for. For example, LFP batteries, such as those found in the new EcoFlow DELTA Pro portable home battery, are designed to give you the most battery life cycles for years. Other DELTA series portable power stations sport NCM batteries, which favour smaller, lighter, and more portable setups. Unfortunately, it seems like the Delta Mini is capped at 300 watts of solar charging capacity or around 100 watts from the car charger. This is alright, but it limits the viability of the Delta Mini for vanlife uses. That said, EcoFlow would likely point you toward its Delta Max and Delta Pro power stations for that. Physical design This is where the Delta Mini excels mightily. The unit’s small size, light weight, and big handles make it very easy to scoop up and move around the house or garage. Plus, a 1,400-watt inverter means that you’ll be able to use the Delta Mini to power a pretty large selection of all but the most demanding power tools.See exactly how many watts are coming into fine-tune your solar setup. See how many minutes are left to manage your usage better. The display is full of information to let you know what’s happening. Twelve outlets Safety first] - A portable power station with rugged design and BMS protection to keep you safe. Monitor voltage, current, short circuit and temp in real time. The front side offers 100% of its 220W rating, the rear is rated for 155W. Now, this doesn’t mean you add both sides together for something greater than 220W, instead, the front absorbs the bulk of the power, and the rear when propped up captures some of what is reflected off the ground, a bit of a solar bonus.

EcoFlow gives some examples of reflectivity of different surfaces and even claims if you set up mirrors behind the panel you can get up to 80% more power than you’d otherwise be able to capture. For real-world conditions most probably won’t be setting up mirrors, but it does go beyond what you’d normally find from a traditional solar panel. To be fair, though, I’m not aware of any power stations in the roughly 1,000Wh capacity range that have substantive expansion options. Goal Zero has its lead-acid Home Energy Kit, but at this point, it’s probably better to invest in lithium-ion batteries given the price, lifespan, and power density. Begone, extension cord; small power stations are my new best friend. Use cases Van life The original EcoFlow DELTA is still one of the best portable power stations on the market. It has a big 1260Wh capacity that lets you keep your essential devices charged up during power outages. It also weighs only 14kg, making transportation and powering up on the go a walk in the park. Capacity: Large 1260Wh Capacity We took the crowd-fave’d, critic-raved DELTA portable power station and shrunk it down for a different kind of adventurer. For those who want to take 882Wh anywhere they go, here are some answers to your most popular questions. How Many Solar Panels Can I Hook Up to It?

DELTA Max weighs around 21kg, putting it at the heavier end of the EcoFlow DELTA series. Despite this, it retains a similar handheld design that made the original DELTAso easy to move around. This means you have a 2kWh battery that can be transported easily, wherever you are. Fast Charging: 3400W Dual Charging X-Boost is an EcoFlow technology that lets you power an appliance with wattage above the portable power station’s normal output. In this case, DELTA mini can power electronics totalling 1400W without X-Boost, but with this feature enabled, you can power electronics totalling 2200W. X-Boost is not for everything, especially not sensitive devices. We recommend using it for things with a heating element that you don’t mind working at a slightly lower temperature.
