Description

Described as a “French Riviera Gin”, The Gardener Gin has been crafted by Master distiller and Gin Guild Lifetime achievement award winner Tom Nichol, and is set to make its debut at the Cannes Film Festival later this year. I liked the writing and the style of this book - the characters were reasonably well fleshed out too.

Gardener Collections – The Frenchie Gardener

Throw in thwarted love, a mysterious notebook, a cheating husband, a selfish woman learning to love, a grand manor house, and quirky small-town characters and you had me at hello. Then she hires a housekeeper and Jean-Paul shows up having found her daughter, Storm, in the woods and brought her home.

Conceived of and handcrafted by the Brad Pitt, Famille Perrin and Tom Nichol, The Gardener is an expression of the land we cultivate and guard for the generations to come. Then there is Gus who enjoys beating a donkey with a stick and pulling the legs off spiders: delightful! You’ll have to pick it up for yourself to find out what happens next, as it’s too enjoyable a read to give away more details.

Her other passions include traveling, mushroom hunting, good food, and getting out on the ocean to see the great blue whales. The Gardener is already available in High-end on-trade venues and retailers in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Austria, Turkey and will be available in the UK at the end of May. With this triptych of creators, The Gardener was born of a mutual love of the French Riviera and all its art de vivre. There is something very special about books set in gardens, and it makes me want to learn much more about gardening and own acreage one day. It twangs on every heartstring, presses every button and is utterly irresistible… It’s lovely stuff – glossy lifestyle glamour with a soul.British gardeners blended their own styles into these gardening techniques, which influenced later French-style gardens. I would have liked to know more about the scrapbook itself, but it was a nice device to link the two time periods together.
