I enjoy seeing how they react, whether they flourish or flounder in that new space—and ultimately, how the experience changes them.

Every time I was going to stop reading for the night something huge would happen and I would NEED to keep reading!Lana Lowe and her lifelong best friend, Kitty Berry, flee England for the adventure of traveling throughout the Philippines together. So presumably the ultimate ‘Authority’ determining the disposal of Joseph’s case would be a coroner’s court in Auckland whose only evidence would have been whatever the crew of the The Blue told them. Despite all that, I nearly set this book aside a couple of times and, although I finished it, I found it unsatisfying, like a sponge cake that hasn't risen properly where knowing what it could have been only deepens your disappointment.
