A secure home is the first step in addressing the cruel cycle of poverty to ensure people can fulfil their potential. In our interview, he also explains that, like Ridley, his heart also belongs to a local music venue… the under-threat Leadmill in Sheffield. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. the fourth studio album from English pop/rock icon Richard Hawley, originally released on 5 September 2005. Skiba sings it in a kind of exasperated way like He's tired of hearing this negative view constantly and just allowing that person to continue feeling the way they feel knowing he can't do anything about it.

As the tune progresses the echo around the piano mixes with a dusty cloud of Eno-esque electronic treatment, the first time on the record we hear a sound that couldn't have been reproduced in the early '60s. Yes, he sounds like he's listened to a lot of Lee Hazlewood; he's also opening for Nancy Sinatra at a number of dates in England. You can make a case against cultural recycling, but you can't argue away the emotional impact of the orchestral build on "The Ocean". Hawley himself, former touring guitarist for Pulp and member of the second-tier Britpop band Longpigs, is forthcoming about his music's origins. Definitely sounds better than my CD version - although then again my record player did cost 3 or 4 times as much as my CD player!

Watching beautiful things vanish under the merciless and heartless boot stamp of corporate bullshit is heartbreaking. This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric. so, he's gone out to this club kind of in the hopes that someone's going to be there who will kind of break the boredom in his life, someone to stop him being lonely. but none of those youngsters can match the style and grace with which Richard Hawley crafts his music. So to have these places stripped away from us because of the current situation with those bastards in power is maddening.
