Description

When taking a sip, expect to discover refreshing notes of baked apple, pink grapefruit and summer fruits which are in turn balanced with rich brioche notes.

A subtle floral and red fruit nose gives way to a lipsmackingly dry palate of red berries, soft tropical fruits, brioche and a touch of spice, which is balanced with good minerality and a creamy finish. While Champagne is the most commonly known sparkling wine, not every sparkling wine is Champagne (more on this in a moment). Pale yellow in color and refined in taste, Nicolas Feuillate Brut Réserve is a light, lovely balanced Champagne that promises an easy-going sip. If you want to learn more about this fan-favorite Champagne brand, check out our Veuve Clicquot review.Based amidst the Pinot Noir grapes of Urville, it is the gentle macerating of the Pinot Noir skins which gives this rosé its pretty salmon pink colour, while the winemaking is all about precision. Most champagnes are non-vintage (NV), meaning they are made from a blend of wines made from grapes from different years, as opposed to one year’s harvest for vintage (V) or millesimé Champagne (with the year indicated on the label).

With so many brands to choose from though, how do you know which bottle of pink Champagne will strike the right note?Elegant and deliciously fruity, Veuve Clicquot’s Rosé is the sort of pink fizz that can be opened at any time of day with little thought.

The iconic hand-painted floral design of Perrier-Jouët flagship bottles hints at your artistic flair. Real Champagne must be produced with approved grape varietals: Pinot Noir (black grape), Pinot Meunier (black grape), and Chardonnay (white grape) being by far the most commonly used grapes in champagnes. With its rich, fruity tones and magnetic energy, this vibrant Dom Pérignon rosé Champagne has an underlying freshness and acidity that make any day you open this gracious bottle of bubbly a reason alone to celebrate. The Veuve Monsigny Rosé is no different - it's not especially nuanced, but if you want a rich, easy drinking rosé with plenty of red berry flavour, this is an excellent choice and it comes in considerably cheaper than most other options. What: Nicolas Feuillatte, the biggest brand in France but also one of the most youthful (founded in 1972), produces a larger number of different pink styles than almost any other house in Champagne. With its smart and sleek design and signature Chardonnay-dominant house style, Maison Laurent-Perrier is known for its finesse, lightness, and elegance.

Using the Moëts and the Bollingers of the world for mimosas (aka the quintessential brunch cocktail) can be considered sacrilegious by some, indulgent by others. Memorably, Dom Pérignon was the Champagne of choice for the royal wedding of Lady Diana to Prince Charles. And in Cuvée Elisabeth Salmon 2007, one of its three ‘founders’ cuvées’, it makes one of the top pink prestige lines around. The term “cuvée” for Champagne essentially refers to a blend of wines or grapes from specially selected barrels or vats that will be bottled. A bottle of fizz is always a nice gift, but when it comes to special occasions like marriage proposals, anniversaries or Valentine’s Day, nothing shouts romance quite like pink Champagne. H. Mumm and its iconic red ribbon—an embodiment of the House’s heritage—are considered by many to be the quintessential gastronomy Champagne, found at the tables of the finest chefs. The noble varietal of the Pinot Noir grape creates the quintessence of Canard-Duchêne’s style: refined champagnes full of character, freshness, and finesse.
