THOSE WHO HAVEN’T YET EXPLORED THE ORIGINAL YOUTUBE SĪRAH SERIES - THIS BOOK WOULD DEFO💯 FORCE THEM TO DO SO!!! a b Crone, Patricia (1987). Meccan Trade and the Rise of Islam. Oxford University Press. p. 223. ISBN 9780691054803. questions in the minds of the people. Where do we come from? Why are we here? What will be our final destiny? These are the 2 eternal sources of guidance for men and women in their struggles to achieve perfection in their moral, spiritual and social areas of life. This meant that this Seerah book was more than a Seerah book and really felt like the Prophet was here and relevant to us. It really reconnects the heart to the Prophet (SAW)

Later sources claiming to know more about the time of Muhammad than earlier ones. Scholar Patricia Crone found a pattern, where the farther a commentary was removed in time from the life of Muhammad and the events in the Quran, the more information it provided, despite the fact it depended on the earlier sources for its content. Crone attributed this phenomenon to storytellers' embellishment. This book really did meet it's objective. It was fun to read and really did increase me in my understanding of the Seerah. Kindle Apple Kobo Nook Economic Doctrines of Islam - Volume 2 by Afzalur Rahman|ISBN: 978-0-907052-28-9 Muhammad the last Prophet: A Model for All Time by Sayyed Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi – This is written by one of the most influential Muslims of the 20th century. Nadwi was not just an Islamic scholar but also a historian. He also wrote another more detailed book on the topic that you can read as well. There is a third book on the topic as well written by him specifically for Tableeghi Jama’at focusing on brevity. This third version is very straightforward and can even be given to kids in middle school to read. No one must ever let power or social, economic, or political interest turn him or her away from other human beings, from the attention they deserve and the respect they are entitled to. Nothing must ever lead to a person to compromise this principle or faith in favor of a political strategy aimed at saving or protecting a community from some peril. The freely offered, sincere heart of a poor, powerless individual is worth a thousand times more in the sight of God than the assiduously courted, self-interested heart of a rich one.”

I would advice the following Sirah books are better written and cover various topics and a more competitive price. I saw amazing things; When Muahmmed(صلىاللهعليهوسلم)used to make Wudu (ablution before prayer), Sahaba would rush tograb the water dripping from his body.” He also told Quresh that whatever they do or plan, companions of Muhammad(صلىاللهعليهوسلم)will never give up their leader even they have to sacrifice their live for him." a b c d e f g h i j Raven, W. (1997). "SĪRA". Encyclopaedia of Islam. Vol.9 (2nded.). Brill Academic Publishers. pp.660–3. ISBN 90-04-10422-4.In the Arabic language the word sīra or sīrat ( Arabic: سيرة) comes from the verb sāra, which means to travel or to be on a journey. A person's sīra is that person's journey through life, or biography, encompassing their birth, events in their life, manners and characteristics, and their death. In modern usage it may also refer to a person's resume. It is sometimes written as "seera", "sirah" or "sirat", all meaning "life" or "journey". In Islamic literature, the plural form, siyar, could also refer to the rules of war and dealing with non-Muslims. This is a good, easy and trustworthy book, and I recommend it.

I really liked the numerous references as well as the lessons that are very relevant to us in the West (e.g. how Prophet lived as minority, or navigating certain issues that have parallels to us now). If one storyteller should happen to mention a raid, the next storyteller would know the date of this raid, while the third would know everything that an audience might wish to hear about. [13] In the case of Ibn Ishaq, there are no earlier sources we can consult to see if and how much embroidering was done by him and other earlier transmitters, but, Crone argues, "it is hard to avoid the conclusion that in the three generations between the Prophet and Ibn Ishaq" fictitious details were not also added. The phrase sīrat rasūl allāh, or as-sīra al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of the life of Muhammad. The term sīra was first linked to the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (d. 124/741-2), and later popularized by the work of Ibn Hisham (d. 833). In the first two centuries of Islamic history, sīra was more commonly known as maghāzī (literally, stories of military expeditions), which is now considered to be only a subset of sīra [2]—one that concerns the military campaigns of Muhammad. [3] Musa ibn ʿUqba, a student of al-Zuhrī, wrote Kitāb al-Maghāzī, a notebook used to teach his students; now lost. Some of his traditions have been preserved, although their attribution to him is disputed. [6]

Amr said “so I became Muslim, at that stage. Muahmmed(صلىاللهعليهوسلم), from being my worst enemy, became the most beloved personto me in the whole world, and I loved and respected him so much that I couldn’t even get a full glimpse of his face, whenever I used to see him. I would stare down (in respect), and if you ask me today to describe him to you, I can’t. And had I died in that state, I would have hoped to be in Jannah.”
