Home baristas will love the Sage Bambino, which is Sage's latest and most budget-friendly coffee machine. It's not cheap (of course, it's Sage) but it is decent value-for-money, with pre-infusion which very effectively extracts creamy and smooth crema for a luscious layer on top of your espresso. The preheat is only three seconds, which is very impressive, and the milk steaming wand also preheats very fast. It gives out 130-degree steam which was very effective at creating steamed milk in a jiffy. The Barista Pro is the step up from the Barista Express. It does everything the Barista Express does and in addition enjoys a digital display that allows you to do things like select from 30 different grind settings and choose the length of time that the coffee is ground for.

We love how sleek this coffee maker is from KitchenAid, and the fact it comes in a range of the brand’s signature hues means you can match it to all of its other appliances. More than that though, it’s sturdy, robust and comes with a generous 1.7l removable water tank and glass coffee carafe of the same capacity. Ground coffee brewed the right way is totally different to the same ground coffee made the wrong way in a cheap machine. How on earth do you justify spending that kind of money on a machine that essentially just pours water on top of ground coffee and lets it naturally pass through the grounds and into your pot? From there it steps up to The Bambino Plus. As well as the features of The Duo Temp Pro you also get to choose from 3 temperatures for your milk. Just place the jug underneath the steam wand and it will automatically stop when that temperature is reached. One button starts the coffee delivery and it will stop automatically. The Sage precision brewer coffee machine is a top of the range coffee maker that uses the filter brewing method.Grinding and tamping are very important if you want to produce the best possible coffee. Bean to cup coffee machines do a good job but not as good as using manual intervention in the right way which is why the coffee shops do it that way. The Oracle will even perfectly tamp your coffee for you so all you have to do is insert it into the coffee outlet and press a button. You get to control all of the variables that make up the perfect coffee with the absolute minimum human intervention.

With The Duo Temp Pro, you benefit from features like pre-infusion which soaks the beans in water first before pumping water through them and into the cup. This pre-infusion process does not take place on cheaper machines. Firstly the bambino plus has an option for you to choose the milk temperature and essentially lets you automatically texture the milk. You have 4 products at the top end of the market within the Sage range and this where is where domestic coffee machines and professional coffee machines start to cross over. Sage Dual Boiler Pro Coffee MachineYou’ll want this to be prominently displayed on the work surface as something to be admired and whilst not huge it is bigger than most filter coffee machines measuring 36cm wide, 17cm deep and 39.5cm tall. Functionality 10/10

They have not been reviewed or recommended because they are variations on other machines in the range but they cost significantly more (hundreds of pounds more) but do not represent any value for money for the extra you pay. You can get the same coffee with one of the other variations but pay hundreds of pounds less. We spoke to Luke Powell, Manager - Speciality Coffee EMEA at Sage Appliances, to find out more about the difference between filter coffee and other types of coffee that you might get from one of the best pod coffee machines, or an espresso machine."Espresso is any coffee brewed at pressure, often nine bars but pretty much anything above two bars can be termed espresso. Filter coffee is anything below involving a filter, so at regular atmospheric pressure." These are the all-singing, all-dancing ultimate indulgence home coffee machines. These coffee machines do everything that the mid-range machines do and then some. Our range of support options ensure you experience an easy and hassle free process when you need to talk to us about your Product Care ™ plan. Whether you are experiencing a fault, or wanting to redeem your entitlements, we will provide you with guidance and support every step of the way. Advantage If this is the level at which your budget stops we would recommend The Bambino Plus over the Duo Temp Pro.

Where precision meets speed.

With a bean to cup coffee machine you compromise slightly on quality but you gain in convenience. Once you have the settings as you like them you literally press one button and your espresso is delivered. You can also get fully automatic versions that will even add milk for a cappuccino or latte so you don’t have to get involved at all. Our reviewer Millie found this machine to not only be excellent value, but easy to use and extremely convenient. The quality of the coffee can't be overlooked either, with Millie saying that this machine yields high-quality coffee, that wasn't too strong but not bitter either, and with a decent amount of crema. All in all, it's a certified bargain.
