The design is pretty sleek, it has this matte finish which is really nice in the hand. It’s very comfortable, I don’t know how well that will hold up over time, it does seem like it will get scuffed easily but I haven’t really noticed that yet in my use and travels. You can also have the wheel change feel when moving to a different PC (more on that below). Unfortunately the feature is a slider rather than more precise measurements, just like all the other features (pointer speed et cetera) in Options. Claims: 70 days worth, but if you read the manual that's 70 days worth at 8hrs per day or 560hrs max total. The 2S did away with a "connect" button on the underside. The MX 2 has that button. I like that button since it makes setting up pairing easy and means there isn't an annoying button combo one has to remember when pairing since the power is tied to a toggle switch. Normally with like Bluetooth speakers and headphones, the power is a button and depending how long you press it it determines if it enters pairing mode. This being a switch removes that dual feature of the power button. Now, one thing I want to mention for Mac users is when you install the Logitech software, you’re gonna want to give it accessibility permissions. Otherwise, the scrolling is going to stop working and it might take you a little bit to figure out why that’s happened, it’s because you haven’t given it accessibility permissions but it’s pretty simple. It’s difficult to really compare the mice too much because they’re actually exactly the same weight and exactly the same dimensions too. The 2s is the newer of the two, and there are a few areas where it’s a noticeable improvement on the 2. The scroll wheel on the 2s isn’t as good as the MX Anywhere 3, which has a dual scroll (great for Excel and other editing work).
