Bresser Junior Astro-Planetarium DeluxeThis Bresser planetarium star projector, designed for kids, has true-to-life projections, a five-year warranty and is simple to operate. It has a time and date selector, a shooting star function and a sleep timer, and it ships with two disks.★★★½ The Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Projector is super easy to use, and you can use voice control to change colors, adjust brightness and control the speed. You can also use your smartphone with a Smart App (for Android and iOS) to give commands. The device has a color wheel where you can choose from a wide range of tones, from cool blue to warm fiery red. However, during testing, we found that most of the 16.7 million different colors were hard to tell apart with the naked eye. Why it made the cut: With 14 adjustable lighting effects, 19 white noise machine sounds, and Bluetooth connectivity, this night light galaxy projector creates soothing and mesmerizing sleep atmospheres perfect for anxious sleepers.

As discussed in our Bresser Junior Astro-Planetarium Deluxe review, this star projector draws many parallels to the Bresser-made National Geographic Astro Planetarium but doesn't include an integrated FM radio or the ability to attach an audio device. The Bresser Junior can only be powered by 3 x AA batteries, so buyers will likely need to grab some spares if they use it long-term. There are 30 additional discs available when you visit Astrial, Sega Toys' official online store. Simulations of the aurora borealis and the aurora australis are perhaps the highlights. There is a disc that displays the planets of the solar system as well, but it is the ones that show galaxies, nebulas and other NASA-based imagery that really stand out. For example, the North America nebula as taken by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope and the weird seven-star system called Jabbah (officially called Nu Scorpii and IC 4592) as imaged by NASA's WISE mission. You can also buy disks that simulate fireworks, 'night jellyfish' and a hot-air balloon festival. The Sky Lite 2.0 is best compared to the likes of a lava lamp in terms of what it tries to achieve. This star projector delivers if a hypnotic journey through an imaginary nebula (or aurora?) is the effect you're after. For those that want to bring the awe and splendor of the night sky into their homes, night light star/galaxy projectors are the way to go.Unlike some other models, we found it to be near silent in its operation, which is great if you're using it to get to sleep or whilst watching a film. BlissLights Sky Lite EvolveThe nebulas are bright and endearing, complimented perfectly by the hue of the blue/green lasers. This is a great option for anyone shopping for a mood-enhancing star projector (rather than a scientific one). ★★★½ You will need to set up your phone's Bluetooth before you begin, but this is a seamless experience, with the device being up and running within moments.

Create immersive experiences with this Alexa- and Google-Assistant enabled smart galaxy room projector. With easy scheduling timers, you can rest easy knowing your device will turn off automatically, or you can use the remote control. This option allows for ten different light displays and comes with two speakers built in that can connect via USB or Bluetooth. This galaxy projector is great for kids’ rooms and parties. Things to consider when shopping for the best galaxy projectors Power Source Considering its reasonable price tag and the many educational benefits it offers, we believe this projector is a worthwhile investment for homeschooling or simply learning about space with your child. The answer to this question depends on the type of star projector you're considering. Some FDA-approved laser star projectors are safe for brief and accidental exposure to eyes, but they are not recommended for children, and you should never look directly into a laser beam. Most star projectors come with a 'sleep timer' that will switch the device off after a specified amount of minutes.

The 360 degree projector provides coverage of up to thirty by thirty feet for lasers and fifteen by fifteen feet for nebular visuals. Colors are vibrant and the transitions are smooth. The BlissLights Sky Lite Evolve marries powerful hardware with a great mobile app to create the best overall experience of any star projector on the market. What We Liked: Galaxy projectors are soothing devices that project gorgeous color combinations and patterns to help with anxious sleepers, kids, or anyone who just loves looking at the night sky. Some devices feature smart app controls, others offer more simple and straightforward controls, but all the items on our list create a dreamy atmosphere that’s sure to mesmerize you. Some venture well outside efforts to recreate actual stars and simply project coo light patterns around the room.

It serves no other purpose or provides any scientific accuracy. Still, it is a discrete, affordable, high-quality device that puts out visually stunning lasers to transform your surroundings while drawing very little energy. This is a versatile projector in a creative form factor that makes for a fun alternative. The Mooyran Astronaut Space Buddy Projector is shaped like an astronaut with nebula infused light shining out of its face visor. It makes for a great decoration for a kids’ room or a conversation piece in your home theater. Why it made the cut: This night light and starry galaxy projector combo is the perfect inexpensive option for kids and anxious sleepers to dream under 9 different color modes with minimal noise. This is an unusual entry on our list, given that it only has one function. That said, we have included it in this guide as an inexpensive 'faff-free' star projector, though as we discussed in our BlissLights Starport USB star projector review, we use the term star projector loosely. If you want a projector that works and is at an affordable price, the Mooyranis a great option to consider. Keep in mind that this is not a wire-free star projector and will need to be near an outlet to function. What We Liked:Like the Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Projector, you won't get scientific accuracy, but you'll get a fantastic 'insomnia-busting' experience that allows your children (or yourself) to sleep better at night. Despite its compact size and unassuming appearance, this USB-powered projector is powerful for transforming any room into a celestial-like wonderland. When connected to a USB power source, it projects hundreds of laser stars in a single color, creating a truly immersive and atmospheric experience. Whether you're a gamer looking to enhance your gaming environment, a parent looking to create a magical bedtime routine for your child (ensure they can't look directly into the beam), or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of the cosmos, this star projector will surely delight.
