Yes, the "real" filter wrenches for this application are expensive. But so is everything about the bike. Doing one oil/filter/valve adjust service yourself will pay for the wrench, and doing several throttle body syncs will pay for the TwinMax and maybe the GS911 as well. Plus you know it's been done right. BMW 3-series E46, E90, E91, E92 (non-M3), E93 (non-M3), F80 M3, F30 and F31. Does not work on 340 or 440 vehicles.

Find the oil filter (a small mirror can come in handy if you can’t safely get under your car) and place the oil pan underneath it. Attach the removal tool to the oil filter and remove it.
