Nothing is more nostalgic than these melt-in-the-mouth Raspberry-flavoured shrimp-shaped delights. If you have never had these - don't worry, they don't taste like seafood! Nothing compares to the iconic Bassetts Shrimp. Do you chew yours or let them melt on your tongue a bit first? Pink Shrimps have always been an incredibly moreish sweet. Smarties - Sorry, not safe. But some home brands and also m&m's are fine so there are alternatives.

Mentos state all their candies and gum don't contain gluten with the exception of spearmint gum and Mentos Choco. Forever a favourite with children and adults alike - White Mice is a chocolate treat that nobody can refuse. The smooth and creamy white chocolate texture is hard to beat. We also available have pink and white mice /large-pink-white-mice for a unique and fun strawberry twist or traditional sugar mice /sugar-mice for a true retro classic. These morish mice will always be a fun one to eat! With St George's Day right around the corner on Friday 23rd April, why not celebrate the patron saint of England with our favourite traditional English confectionaries that we all know and love. We're sure that George would probably have a sweet tooth himself and so here are just a few of the sweets that you'll remember from your childhood and that you can still buy at AQuarterOf.co.uk today Kit Kat No, normal KitKats are not gluten free. However, the bunnies and santas that come out each year are gluten free, they have wafer bits in made from rice flour. You can get chocolate free from wafers in Tesco down the free from aisle too.

Wine Gums have been a household name for years and were first invented over 100 years ago! In contrast to their name, Wine Gums contain no alcohol, but each coloured sweet is named after a type of wine. Wine Gums are traditionally made in 5 shapes: kidney, crown, rhombus, circle, and oblong (and also in a variety of colours). Which is your favourite shape and colour? Traditional sweets soft ones and chewy ones. The jelly ones are my favourite. Liked by kids and adults very moreish! I haven't included Aldi and Lidl as I need to go in store to see what they have, will update with them when I remember* Morrisons have a limited range of their own brand but do have some gluten free choices plus a range of free from chocolate in the free from aisle Ferrero Rocher - Unfortunately not gluten free but take a look below for the bars and Schar do Tempties which are similar.

Barley Sugars (contrary to popular belief they are not made from barley, they used to be many moons ago but these days they are just sugar and flavour) In late 2019/2020 Hotel Chocolat divulged that none of there chocolate was gluten free, everything is a may contain and not safe for Coeliacs. Before I list everything you can have, as there are lots of gluten free chocolatey goodies out there, here's a note about some products that aren't gluten free that I always get asked about. And I mean I get asked A LOT about them, if I think of any others I will also tag them on -

Tesco have a fair few gluten free options when it comes to their home brands unlike some of the others.

Unlike Smarties, M&M's are an alternative that are gluten free, the only ones that aren't are the crispy shell ones and the bars are a may contain Waitrose probably have the best variety of gluten free chocolate bars out of all the supermarkets. However, a lot of the sweets, despite technically being gluten free contain "Wheat glucose syrup", this is gluten free and safe for Coeliacs but I have marked the products with a * that have it incase you avoid wheat due to allergies rather than Coeliac. Unfortunately none of the Terrys Chocolate Oranges are gluten free, the exploding bog version used to be but doesn't seem to be available any more.Did you know there was so many gluten free chocolates and sweets around in the UK? I am a major chocoholic, so I think I may be the queen of knowing what is and isn't gluten free when it comes to the delightful chocolate treats and it is only right I share that info with my fellow Coeliacs. A few galaxy products are gluten free, many hold a may contain warning but there are a few products that are safe. Like with Cadbury there are multiple factories so it depends which factory the product is made in. I hope this blog helps you understand what chocolate is out there and safe but also there's some info on alternatives to products that aren't safe. There will be some that I have missed no doubt but will add them on when I find them!
