The legacy of expert swordsman Miyamoto Musashi lives on through Takehiko’s Vagabond and will hopefully awaken the dormant fighting spirit we all have inside of us.

Vagabond Vol. 10". Viz Media. Archived from the original on October 18, 2006 . Retrieved June 28, 2009.Like Slam Dunk, I must admit some fight scenes dragged on a little longer than they needed to and while I enjoyed Sasaki Kojiro’s arc, I was also desperate for it to end! Kojiro is another enigma within the Vagabond universe, but I must continue to express my love for Takezo. Sorry, Kojiro. Chapter 5: The Impact of Vagabond Vagabond has had a profound impact on the manga industry and its readers. In this chapter, we'll explore the legacy of Vagabond and how it has influenced other works in the genre. We'll also take a look at the cultural significance of the series and how it has resonated with audiences across the globe. Vagabond Vol. 5". Viz Media. Archived from the original on October 18, 2006 . Retrieved June 28, 2009. Vagabond Vol. 27] (in Japanese). Kodansha. Archived from the original on August 30, 2009 . Retrieved June 28, 2009.

All in all I can now say I'm completely hooked, I love this series wholeheartedly and I'm super excited to see where it's heading ! Vagabond Vol. 24] (in Japanese). Kodansha. Archived from the original on August 31, 2009 . Retrieved June 28, 2009. Vagabond Vol. 25". Viz Media. Archived from the original on February 7, 2010 . Retrieved June 28, 2009.While fight scenes in film and animation require infinitely more exhaustive time, effort, and manpower to create they have one all-important advantage over comics and literature when it comes to action: motion.

There are no stakes. The action scenes, though well drawn, feel tedious because the end goal is just "Mushashi feels stronger." The historical setting has almost no bearing on the story. This could have been any figjt manga where the main character just wants to get stronger. Only even those (even something as thin as dragon ball z) have some semblance of a plot.

Vagabond Vol. 13". Viz Media. Archived from the original on October 18, 2006 . Retrieved June 28, 2009. Miyamoto Musashi is better at learning from his mistakes; while he is not the sharpest katana in the armory, he’s partially grasped the concept of critical thinking and examining his own mindset. Still has a long way to go before being the best swordsman in Japan though. Reading chapter 1 was a trip and a half for me. I wasn’t interested in the story 100%, but I was extremely attracted to the enigma that is Shinmen Takezo. An attractive boy with a wild attitude and a lust for killing? That’s what messed up dreams are made of. Matahachi on the other hand…nah. Vagabond Vol. 2". Viz Media. Archived from the original on October 18, 2006 . Retrieved June 28, 2009. Vagabond Vol. 29". Viz Media. Archived from the original on February 7, 2010 . Retrieved June 28, 2009.

The successor to the Hōzōin spear style, Inshun, has his own issues. He’s a natural combat genius who has never known “fear”, or had a truly serious challenge to his skills until now. Thus his growth has stalled; Inshun must learn how to deal with defeat to become stronger. His multi-chapter duel with Musashi is the centerpiece of this volume. Todo ello sazonado con acción perfectamente ejecutada, profundidad narrativa, geniales diálogos y caracterización de personajes y, como va a seguir siendo costumbre, un dibujo tremendo. Vagabond Vol. 15] (in Japanese). Kodansha. Archived from the original on August 30, 2009 . Retrieved June 28, 2009. Vagabond Vol. 22". Viz Media. Archived from the original on October 18, 2006 . Retrieved June 28, 2009.Like a half of this volume is spent hanging from a tree. It's by no means a bad thing - the main character needed some time to cool off and think - but I feel that it took maybe a little too long, and spent most of that time repeating the same few talking points with maybe some small variables.
