One of the things that everyone was doing last year was going on long walks. There is definitely no shortage of water here! In fact, the area has over 100 lakes and 434 miles of rivers! Llyn Tegid Walk along this for about 200 metres until you get to the end of the fences. Then, cross over the stream into the field. All of this is signposted. And if that’s not enough, Denbies is also home to Surrey Hills Brewery, so if you don’t like wine then you can grab a beer! There is so much to do at Denbies Pride didn’t happen last year because it was postponed, so this year is a bumper event celebrating Brighton Pride’s 30 th birthday party. This is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ events in the UK and it’s always an all-singing, all-dancing carnival of colour. We adore it! Visit the National Railway Museum (which is free to enter) and see a range of locomotives, from the oldest steam trains and royal carriages, to the Eurostar and Japan’s Shinkansen. Understandably, Loch Ness is one of the most popular places to visit in Scotland, and is easily accessible by car from Inverness. It’s a beautiful loch regardless of whether you spot Nessie. We’d recommend a relaxing walk around the perimeter or setting sail on a Loch Ness cruise from Inverness, Fort Augustus or Drumnadrochit.
