Yes, since you brexited UK is different shipment via air especially to avoid doubling on duty. But it must have been like that before on second thought, since you were always outside of Schengen. Firstly, this is my second pair of IEMs that I own. I own the Moondrop Chus too. I will try my best to be technical with this review. Instruments on the other hand, such like a cross drum, trumpet or bass guitar are reproduced with a good amount of intensity and with an efficient level of detail and speed, which fulfils my expectation from a product at this price level. As to technicalities. Staging is rather average, but tall, and reasonably deep (much deeper than in the Timeless). I find the staging adequate. Timbre is ok but benefits from a warm source such as the DragonFly Cobalt or Apogee Groove. Separation and instrument placement are ok. Resolution is absolutely superb and dwarves the Timeless’.

S12 Pro Review - Major HiFi Letshuoer S12 Pro Review - Major HiFi

The LetShuoer S12 has a pretty minimalistic industrial monitor design with a smooth surface that is made from durable & lightweight 5-Axis CNC Processed Aluminium Alloy material. These earphones/IEMs are designed for discerning music lovers. If you are someone who cares about audio quality deeply, you'll want a pair of earphones/IEMs like these. You can expect them to present a Hi-Fidelity listening experience. Treble - it's just ok, not much to say here. Might be too bright for some, it wasn't the case for me, however the cymbals might hurt once in a while. This range is nicely detailed and sparkly, timbre is probably a bit too metalic. You can easily eq high trebles down if that's too much for you. Inside of the S12 is LETSHOUER’s first-ever custom pair of 14.8mm planar drivers capable of pushing a respectable frequency range of 20Hz up to 20kHz. The monitors do have a very durable appearance and doesn’t show any remarkable gaps or burrs on the visible surface area. The midrange is lush with sublime goodness, but are not forward (which for me makes them relaxing) again that also depends on your pairing. The highs are sparkly with great extension but do not get out of line to my ears, no sibilance. Here there is some consistency across amps and DACs, the highs do not change much with power. Human hearing focuses inherently on this frequency range. So it’s crucial to get this range right. This region The LetShuoer S12 Pro has a nicely highlighted treble tuning that is shown with a decent sense of presence in the lower treble region, which is able to produce an efficient level of clarity and definition. The transitions from the upper midrange towards the lower treble region are relative smooth and controlled when I do listen to electro guitars or to soprano voices. It is boosted here but it mainly adds some kind of a metallic - artificial hue to the treble that being fatiguing.

In using a newer nozzle filter that is what Letshuoer is doing to create a newer “pro” version by lowering these aspects for better balance but then you throw on a more resolving silver plated monocrystalline copper cable? You see what I am getting at? I suppose you have to be really into your cable pair ups to fully understand what I am talking about. Bright +more resolving cable = Brighter. The upper midrange of the S12 is more highlighted and detailed compared to the lower midrange. Female vocals like Adel, Diana Krall or Edith Piaf are reproduced in a pretty lively, emotional and detailed way. The energetic upper midrange tuning creates a vivid and transparent overall midrange atmosphere, while only soprano voices can do sound a little bit sibilant and energy loaded from time to time when I do listen at higher volume levels. YMMV, as treble perception is not uniform; it is dependent on hearing health/ age, volume played at ( Fletcher Munson curve), ear anatomy ( pinna gain), sources, and ear tips. When it comes to the soundstage of the LetShuoer S12 Pro, I can say that it offers an adequate performance in terms of separation, layering and placement of instruments and vocals. The soundstage of the S12 Pro has a pretty spacious and airy atmosphere with good sense of wideness and moderate level of depth and height.
