For a cheap and effective way to decorate a party venue, get balloons in dinosaur colours. Greens, browns and oranges work well. The space between is the jungle. The kids need to run to the other side of the jungle without getting caught. Last one standing is the winner! See if you can spot any ‘diggersaurs’ (diggers and cranes) and talk about what they are doing. What might they be called? Let’s pretend… We love the idea of a dinosaur volcano cake. Make a volcano to place on top of your cake from fondant icing or a mixture of rice crispies and marshmallow. Love this book. Excited to keep developing the actions with the children into a music and movement session.

From dinosaur party games to the best dinosaur-themed party food, we've got everything you need to throw a totally ROAR-some kids' dinosaur party! What's bigger than a digger? Bigger than a dinosaur? DIGGERSAURS are bigger - see them build and hear them ROAR! After hearing the story a few times, children will get to know it well. Encourage them tell it to you in their own words, with some words or phrases from the story, using the pictures to help them. Talk about the story Casper loves reading but he gets particularly excited when we can bring books to life for him. Lovemybooks provides some great inspiration for how to achieve this.'This hilarious picture book is a rip-roaring read-aloud guide to 100 different feathered friends. Full of endless funny details, silly scenarios, and a rare bird to spot, this is a book to read again and again. Lots of sweet companies make bags of dinosaur jelly sweets. Buy some big bags and divide the sweets up between your party bags so each child gets three or four. Less ambitious than Chris Gall’s widely known Dinotrux (2009) and sequels, this British import systematically relegates each dinosaur/construction-equipment hybrid to its most logical job. Final verdict: Delightful, charming, and silly, DIGGERSAURS is a new favorite for young readers, whether they love construction vehicles, dinosaurs, or just fun stories. This is definitely a book series to watch! Let people know your party theme from the off with a dinosaur party invite. You can buy ready made invites, design your own using pictures you find online, or even have your kids create their very own designs.

Have fun with reading this story aloud dramatically, including the sound effects. There is lots to look at in the illustrations and children may well want to talk about some of the diggersaurs. Join in This is lots of fun and will keep the kids entertained for ages. Fill a large container of sandpit with slightly damp sand and bury toy dinosaur bones and fossils. This book will also be fun to do in storytime. It involves all sorts of construction equipment and dinosaurs. It's a rhyming book which is a favorite of mine =D It also talks about teamwork!A succession of animal dads do their best to teach their young to say “Dada” in this picture-book vehicle for Fallon. If you read this story often, children will remember the words and be able to join in as you read. They will enjoy the sound effects and may like making them with their voices or improvised instruments. The end papers are fun for this too, you could take turns saying the sounds. Tell the story An easy way to give your birthday cake a dinosaur theme is to add toy dinosaurs on top. You can add chocolate eggs to represent dinosaur eggs, too. The story itself here is really great! There are themes of teamwork as the diggersaurs work together to move forward, calmly overcoming obstacles as the diggersaurs come up with solutions to each one that they encounter, helping others as they assist the golden diversaurus (eg, a submarine) who was buried in the sand, and following a serious of steps as the diggersaurs work to get to the beach. All of these themes are perfect for young readers. The ending had me smiling, that is such a fun way to end a day of work and I loved seeing the Diggersaurs go home to sleep so they would be ready for a new day.

Still, this young boy’s imagination is a powerful force for helping him deal with life, something that should be true for all children but sadly isn’t.If you want, you could have a dinosaur fancy dress theme for your party – just make sure you put it on the invites so people have plenty of time to prepare. Face paint is always a winner, especially with younger kids. You can do it yourself, rope in another parent or even hire a professional. Children will fall in love with these huge, colourful, lovable beasts as the wonderfully read-aloud rhyming story unfolds. And there are lots of funny details to spot along the way...

You can buy camo nets relatively cheaply from outdoor supply shops and they'll look amazing draped over tables or hung from the wall to create a leafy jungle effect. Of course no dinosaur party buffet would be complete without some turkey dinosaurs or Quorn Roarsomes vegan dinosaurs. Diggersaurs is currently one of Casper’s favourite books - combining dinosaurs with diggers was definitely a winning combination! Age 0-5 Have you ever looked at diggers and cranes and imagined they look like dinosaurs? Well this book does just that, tapping into two popular themes with young children and blending them together to create an amazing set of creatures – DIGGERSAURS! Bold illustrations, a rhyming text and an imaginative idea make this a great story for sharing again and again. Share the story Watch a trailer Buy a dino-shaped cookie cutter and whip up a batch of dinosaur biscuits. You can decorate them yourself using coloured icing or get kids to decorate their own as a party activity.
