An 18W PD battery should be able to charge the LP-E6NH (only; note only the newer "NH" designated battery) when the power to the camera is OFF. You cannot have the camera ON and charge with 18W. With the Digic X processor on board, it’s fair to expect good things of the R5’s performance – and so it proved in our tests. With such a powerful new sensor and image processor, you'll need the means to shoot more and for longer. For this, Canon has included a combination of a super-fast CFexpress card slot and an SD UHS-II card slot, easily capable of recording large images and 8K footage. Canon's Cloud Service The requirements are very specific. I would guess you'll need something in and around 7.5v and capable of 3 amps (to match the battery).

I'm guessing but I think the Power IQ 2.0 is not a PD type device. It is probably like the Samsung Fast Charger for android phones. My Samsung charger didn't work on my R5. According to the power meter, my camera draws about 1,400 ma @ 5.2 volts which should be possible with the Samsung. However, it doesn't seem to work. USB-C chargers have 3 or 4 modes they operate in depending on what type of device they are charging. The Power Delivery circuitry figures out what the device needs and supplies it, which is a different setup than a straight USB-C charger. Because it's aimed more at the hobbyist shooter than the professional, the EOS R6 has two SD UHS-II card slots, while the R5 caters to pros with one SD UHS-II and one CFexpress slot. Not that the EOS R6 should really be considered a major step down – it's more like a compelling alternative to the EOS R5 than a major compromise. Hierarchically, it sits between the Canon EOS R and the EOS R5, and is the mirrorless equivalent of Canon's 6D-series DSLRs. Stills; Scene Intelligent Auto, Flexible priority AE, Program AE, Shutter priority AE, Aperture priority AE, Manual, Bulb and Custom (x3) Movie: Scene Intelligent Auto, Program AE, Shutter priority AE, Aperture priority AE, Manual, Bulb and Custom (x3) I suspect it's possible that IF your camera had its wireless mode enabled, AND was in proximity to your phone which had also had the Canon Camera Connect App running you could have had a communications link running that drew down the battery.

There's also a theoretical advantage in low light (see below). Naturally, landscape photographers will err towards the 45MP resolution of the EOS R5, and the R6's 20.1MP might be considered a little low, with the older EOS R offering 30.3MP. But it's important to state that there isn't necessarily a 'better' when it comes to resolution, only what suits your style of photography. Canon EOS R5 vs EOS R6: low-light performance

To clarify, the camera's power switch was switched off while the battery drained from full to completely empty over 3-4 days. I'm assuming this is due to the WIFI & Bluetooth being enabled (even though the camera was off). I have yet to do my own experiment to see if this makes a difference. Do not apply the label on any part other than as shown in the illustration in step 2. Otherwise, the misplaced label may make it difficult to insert the battery or impossible to turn on the power.

Build Quality, Ergonomics and Handling

That's fair enough for 8K, a mode that no other mirrorless camera offers, but even if you're shooting 4K/60p on the EOS R5, a 10-minute rest will only give you another 10 minutes of recording time. So for both of the EOS R5's most demanding modes, you're still restricted to relatively short bursts.
