Description

Taylor Yates is a luxury leather brand based in Northern Ireland, founded by Karen and Ellen Yates, a mother daughter duo. Karen and Ellen design luxury leather handbags which are handmade in England using British leather sourced as a by-product of food production. The shapes and colours are inspired by the founder's surroundings on the North Coast of Ireland, featuring fluid lines and a minimal coastal inspired colour palette. Size: Will the suitcase fit in your car boot and be easy to lug about? If you think you may struggle, look for a robust yet lightweight option. The unbreakable amper-free double zipper is seamless and tough, creating one of the strongest closures where you usually find the weakest point of a bag. The proportions are inspired, and the silhouettes of each piece are polished and dripping with elegance. They are one of the most fashion-forward brands on our list.

Born in Denver in 1910, Samsonite has been around for a long time, and there are good reasons for that. They started with high-quality and durable products, and have been able to use over 100 years of experience to constantly improve their product line. We found the suitcase roomy and liked how it maintained its size and shape even when stuffed to capacity. The compression feature was another bonus: keeping clothes neatly in place—as was the full-zip interior divider, which allowed us to keep clean and dirty items. If you need extra space, there’s a handy expansion feature. Finally, we found that the multi-directional wheels allowed for smooth maneuverability over a range of terrains. We could easily pull the suitcase behind us or push it in front. If you are not an intensive traveler and do not want to spend a lot of money on a case that you may not use constantly, then the lineup from American Tourister could be just what you are looking for. They have a massive amount of products, so you are sure to find the travel option that is right for you but, more than that, all of their luggage is built to last. The suitcases were a breeze to maneuver on their 360-degree spinner wheels, and carrying The Everywhere and The Garment Bag was comfortable with the padded shoulder straps. The Garment Bag also has interior padding that keeps all of your long clothing items protected and helps to minimize wrinkles. Away is certainly not the cheapest luggage brand out there, but it's also far from the most expensive. Considering the 100-day return window, lifetime warranty, and stylish designs, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to pretty much any traveler.

Each case has doubled spinner wheels (8 wheels in total) which are the standard IT Luggage design. They let you effortlessly push your case through the airport. On carpets I recommend titling your Britbags using the telescoping handle and pulling them along instead. This one is my favourite of the two designs. IT Luggage have removed the ridges, replacing them with curved areas which stand out from the main case. This gives a tough, rugged overall look – though in a calmer way than with the ANNAMITE version. These cases are designed to last, with a build that should see them surviving even the roughest airport handling.

Featured collection

The colors range from muted to bold, and there are a host of handy features and innovations, including the Outsider handle (giving more room inside the luggage) and the CX Expansion Compression system (increasing your interior luggage space by up to 33%). After a few months of testing, our only qualm with the suitcase is the rollers aren't the best at rolling true and we found them spinning off from side to side at times. But it's still an overall solid suitcase with all the features we were looking for in a hardside carry-on. If you love the rugged looks, or simply got bored with the mundane plain old suitcase designs – then there is nothing in the spec, quality or colour options that should stop you buying.
