Anyway, what really matters is that the Philips 4300 LatteGo is an awesome automatic espresso machine that really impressed me during my review. So, when you’re trying to decide between the two, maybe a coin toss would be the best solution! I guess the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo might not be the best bet for households with multiple coffee drinkers. There aren’t any user profiles to speak of, so you’ll be in constant danger of losing your espresso macchiato settings the next time someone uses the machine.

I would like to tell you more – but there’s simply nothing more to say on this point. Here we have the great strength of this machine and similar DeLonghi models: no surprises, no challenges, simply decent coffee.

One final minor quibble is that it’s not possible to adjust the milk temperature at all. I suspect that many people prefer their coffee steaming hot, but the De’Longhi is a tad too hot in my opinion. In my direct comparisons, steamed milk from the De’Longhi didn’t taste as sweet and creamy as when I manually frothed it on a manual espresso machine, and this suggests the milk is being overheated enough to change its flavour. What it is, however, is a smart buy. Once you’ve added fresh coffee beans and got the settings just so, this is a machine that produces a good – if not magnificent – coffee with a minimum of fuss. De’Longhi Magnifica S Smart review: What you need to know The espresso volume is preset to 1.4 ounces (40 milliliters) which results in a nice, strong double shot. However, you should reduce the coffee volume from the preset 6 ounces (180 milliliters) to 4 ounces (120 milliliters). I haven’t changed any temperature and aroma strength settings this time.

Should DeLonghi orient itself more towards modern microfoam here? I don’t think so. The cappuccino is super hot, which indicates the milk has almost been denatured. Still, I know you guys like really hot milk, so that’ll be good news! Included Accessories: Carbon filter, Measuring scoop, Cleaning supplies Removable water spout, Milk carafe.I like to complain a lot. Usually about half-baked “new releases” in my super automatic espresso machine guide 2023. Operating at 1450 watts, this espresso machine is energy efficient, carrying an A energy efficiency class. It is equipped with essential functions such as espresso, cappuccino, and latte macchiato making capabilities, allowing users to enjoy a variety of coffee beverages at home. Additionally, the machine comes with a built-in grinder, ensuring that freshly ground beans can be used for the perfect cup of coffee.

Start by filling the water reservoir and adding coffee beans to the hopper. Once you’ve turned the machine on, you’ll need to enter your water hardness. You’ll also have to wait for the machine to go about its business. This involves preheating, rinsing and filling the water circuit. I guess what I’m saying is do yourself a favor and spend a little more on the model with the LatteCrema automatic milk system! DeLonghi Magnifica Evo vs Philips 4300 LatteGoOnce you’ve decided, a prod of a button efficiently grinds, brews and delivers coffee to your cup. The manual milk frothing adds a little more effort but the flip side is there’s no carafe or milk delivery system to faff around with and clean. In today’s DeLonghi Magnifica Evo review I’ll be sharing my experiences using one of the Italian manufacturer’s latest releases. In fact, DeLonghi gave me a machine to test out before the Magnifica Evo was even launched. Talking of which, the steam wand is a far cry from those found on better manual machines. Instead, it’s designed to be as foolproof as possible. Slide the collar on the wand to “Cappuccino” and all you need to do is pop it into a jug of cold milk and turn it on: the result is hot, frothy milk. You don’t get the deliciously silky microfoam that you can coax out with a proper manual wand – or the automatic milk-frothing options on Sage’s manual espresso machines for that matter – but it’s okay. The DeLonghi Magnifica Evo has a fully adjustable dispensing unit with two spouts. You can move the dispensing spouts close to your espresso cups when you want to preserve that rich, dark crema.
