I've been running one for the last 4-5 months, and been happy. It has been syncing well and seems to have been quite reliable. I got it to replace a box that apparently couldn't handle "SOS". I recently bought one of these (Draytek 167) – plugged it in, and realised it was in bridge mode already – which was why I bought it Thanks very much for the replies – indeed, this is what I was missing. With 192.168.1.10 set as the laptop static IP, subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1 it all worked fine. Have updated firmware to 5.0.1 now. The only means of running the second "router" ...with all devices on that having same network as the primary... is to disable the routing and DHCP functions, turning it into a switch.
