DrayTek's Vigor 167 is an ideal modem to connect your DrayTek Vigor router, or any Router and Firewall, to a DSL line. any client behind Openwrt can reach the Draytek on 192.168.0.1 (or any of Draytek's devices on that network) (unless something really screwy on your configs but, out of the box, ANY pair of routers will behave like this.

Vigor167 35b Modem Quick Start Guide - DrayTek

The modem also has two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and, in addition to the power supply unit, the necessary connection cables such as 1x RJ11 to RJ11, 1x TAE to RJ11 and 1x RJ11 to RJ45 are enclosed with the device. The configuration and commissioning is, as is already well known from the Vigor160 series, very simple and intuitive and does not present the user with any unnecessary challenges so that the modem can start operating in the shortest possible time.a. My SNR up and down is 12dB (which is probably a stability profile). Is there a Telnet command to drop this (as in earlier Draytek boxes)? I did some exploring but couldn't find any "vdsl snr" equivalent. We have an application note in our knowledge base that shows how to access the router web interface. It is available at:

I've been running one for the last 4-5 months, and been happy. It has been syncing well and seems to have been quite reliable. I got it to replace a box that apparently couldn't handle "SOS". I recently bought one of these (Draytek 167) – plugged it in, and realised it was in bridge mode already – which was why I bought it Thanks very much for the replies – indeed, this is what I was missing. With 192.168.1.10 set as the laptop static IP, subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1 it all worked fine. Have updated firmware to 5.0.1 now. The only means of running the second "router" ...with all devices on that having same network as the primary... is to disable the routing and DHCP functions, turning it into a switch. Any wifi features are tied to the switch so nothing to configure there.Anyway, I've changed the modem code from the default 5.12.24.0 to 5.12.18.17 (5.12.18.16 was not an option with the only other option being 5.12.23.5) Extensively tested to meet your expectations, the Vigor 167 provides a reliable and secure DSL connection and is compatible with all current UK UDSL2/ADSL+ networks. You can adjust the SnR settings on the Drayteks. I can usually squeeze and extra 10Mbps line speed out of mine if I choose to do it. Much more and the link becomes unstable, When running the tp link theres no noticeable line drops or anything, if anything its better – I think the draytek is being a bit too conservative. The Vigor167 replaces the Vigor165, the Vigor166 remains available as a G.Fast modem. This has to do with the fact that there is no chipset that supports ADSL and G.Fast at the same time, as both have a similar frequency spectrum and interference could occur. Thus there is the Vigor167 for ADSL / VDSL / supervectoring connections, the Vigor166 serves G.Fast connections with 106Mhz and 212MHz
