She grew up in Southeast Texas and still considers Texas home, but has recently lived in Maine and Virginia. Her interests have changed, but her love for her characters and her imaginary world she invented for them has not subsided. Until reading this, I had no idea that next door neighbour Winnie is O'Carroll's real life sister. Mind blown.

Throughout the tough moments, Brendan always had humour and a good story to tell alongside the ever-guiding inspiration of his own Mammy, a formidable figure who became Ireland's first female Labour MP. His hope and determination meant he never gave up, and eventually a chance opportunity to perform stand-up would pave the way for the TV show that would become 'Mrs. Brown's Boys'.The youngest of ten children from a poor family in Dublin, Brendan left school at the mere age of 12 to begin what would become a long and varied working life. He would go on to be a waiter, a publican, a window cleaner and a publisher amongst other jobs.

The comedy show sees Brendan play the Irish mammy Agnes Brown and last aired a full season in 2013, with several specials airing since. In his own unique voice, Brendan O'Carroll strings together the threads of his life, a helter-skelter story tracing the helter-skelter journey of a scrawny kid from Finglas, Dublin to TV screens around the world . In his own unique voice, Brendan O'Carroll strings together the threads of his life, a helter-skelter story tracing the helter-skelter journey of a scrawny kid from Finglas, Dublin to TV screens around the world, told with warmth, humour, a touch of mischievousness - and more than a few coincidences.

Another source added: ‘This is something that everyone wants to happen, and we are working out the schedule for 2022/23’. This is Brendan's story in his own words of his career going from a teenager to how Mrs Brown's boys came about. Whilst it is interesting, I expected more comedy and there were lots of parts of this book that were boring, unfortunately for me. From the kid that grew up in Finglas, Dublin to the star we know today, Brendan shares the many threads of his life - from the toughest moments to being guided by his inspirational mother who became Ireland's first female Labour MP.

But that could be dangerous. I mean, when I start to drive how will I be able to tell traffic lights?' Brendan was the youngest of ten children growing up in poverty in Dublin. He lost his father at the tender age of 9 and left school at 12 and embarked upon a long and varied working life. He started out as a waiter and went on to become a publican, window cleaner publisher and many more jobs before being launched onto our TVscreens.I really wanted to enjoy this much more than I did but I am afraid it wasn't as good as I expected. Not as funny as I thought it would be. Brendan O’Carroll has revealed he is releasing his first autobiography charting his time on Mrs Brown’s Boys and beyond.

Brendan O'Carroll is most widely known as Mrs Brown, the nation's favourite Mammy from Mrs's Brown's Boys. But before he shot to fame as the elderly lady, he was known simply as Brendan. Just like the show so brilliantly expresses, Brendan's first autobiography, the real story behind the man who became Mrs Brown, combines uplifting heart, warmth and hilarity. My only criticism is that where it finished. I wanted to know more. But I guess, there's another book in the dealio. Loved CALL ME MRS. BROWN though, even though I think a lot of fans may come away feeling a tad short-changed.The youngest of ten children from a poor family in Dublin, his father died when he was just nine years old. Leaving school at the mere 12 years of age, Brendan began what would become a long and varied working life; he would go on to be a waiter, a publican, a window cleaner and a publisher amongst other jobs.
