Launched in 1932, Tiger beer is a best selling brew from the small Asian country of Singapore. It is very popular and is Asia’s number one beer brand owned and run by Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd, formerly Malayan Breweries Ltd. There is 4.7% alcohol in Tiger beer in the UK, but if you were to buy Tiger beer in Singapore (or most other countries) it would be 5%. Sadly, this seems to be a common occurrence with beer that is brewed in the UK on behalf of international companies. We’ve seen this with Fosters and Sol.
