The sibling-like dynamic of the duo of Maru and Miruko was based on Ishiguro's personal life. He was inspired by an event when he noticed a person who was interested in his sister. Another aspect of the protagonists' dynamic was inspired by buddy films. Maru's design was inspired by Kon Senpai. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 's eighth part, JoJolion, was another influence to the work. [17] In the beginning, Maru has feelings for Kiruko without knowing that his bodyguard is a man inside a girl's body. Ishiguro called this premise as "transsexual sci-fi", alluding to the possibility of Maru still loving Kiruko despite knowing the truth. [19]As previously explained, the season 1 finale is expected to adapt up until the conclusion of Volume 6; however, only nine volumes have been published in Japan at the time of writing. In all likelihood, Production I.G. would need at least another two manga volumes’ worth of content to produce season 2 of the anime series. Vinland Saga 's author Makoto Yukimura expressed interest in the themes of Heavenly Delusion due to the idea of a heaven as well as how Ishiguro tells two stories at the same time that are connected as the narrative continues. [58] Anime [ edit ] Heavenly Delusion started in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon magazine since 2018. [1] Heavenly Delusion has since been licensed by Denpa in North America. The series, still ongoing, consists of 9 volumes published by Kodansha under the Afternoon KC label, in which is translated into English and released in North America by Denpa. [2] With the first volume of the manga publishing, Tasuku Watanabe directed a Promotional Video lasting 30 seconds of the manga. [3] Pineda, Rafael Antonio (December 10, 2018). "Kono Manga ga Sugoi! The good news is that the original manga is still ongoing with 55 chapters across nine complete Tankobon volumes having been published in Japan, meaning that there should eventually be enough source material for a second season of the Heavenly Delusion (Tengoku Daimakyo) anime adaptation. While life there may appear stale on the surface, the children are full of potential and curiosity. In many ways it is like a slice of heaven. The outside world is a hell-scape. It is almost entirely void of anything mechanical and is now inhabited by bizarre, yet powerful super-natural beings. Maru, with the aid of Kiruko, is out there crisscrossing what was once Tokyo for heaven. But after searching for so long, maybe heaven is more of an untenable dream than a potential reality.

There are other alterations that were not censorship, but that generated misunderstandings or misunderstandings. An example is the death scene of Jugo's mother, in which the anime does not say that the traitor's scream woke up the women. The simple absence of this phrase makes a difference to the understanding of the scene, as death remains unexplained. What actually happens in the manga is that Jugo's father intended to run away with his son at night without the woman, as she would not allow him to take the son, she was killed by him. A very famous youtuber went so far as to say that it was the traitor who died, and that Jugo's father was running away with the woman. The manga was already restrained and without a focus on fanservice, but the anime has absurdly multiplied censorship. He is so committed to political correctness, this is deeply disappointing. Besides, the tone of the world doesn't match apocalypse. Its visuals are pretty, but this also just makes me feel even more triggered that they had the nerve to animate this twisted story which shouldn’t even have been published in the first place.
