Delivery timescales are esimates in working days; Public Holidays, Saturday's and Sunday's are NOT classed as working days. Inov-8 have made very good running shoes for a number of years and are now using this knowledge to design lightweight hiking footwear. They are now designing light weight soles and tread patterns specifically for hiking. The RocFly G 390 is much closer to a traditional walking boot sole design. These fitted comfortably from the outset with plenty of cushioning all round the foot. The lacing can be adjusted nicely to hold your foot in place, especially good for walking on rough and steep ground. There is a perfect amount of space in the toe box so that my toes were never squashed together as my feet swell on long distance walks. I didn’t have a single issue with my feet during the 2 weeks walking the Cape Wrath Trail. Inov-8 RocFly G 390 boots

The ROCFLY G 390 aims to make that question a little easier with a shoe that aspires to take the best of both worlds, providing the stability and ankle support of a boot crossed with the agility and ground feel of a trail runner. A revolutionary boot like no other, the ROCFLY™G 390 uses a unique Graphene-infused G-FLY™foam that supercharges your feet so you can hike further than ever before. The 37-year-old scaled the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) – plus all the miles in between them – on a 500-mile adventure that took him just 16 days, 15 hours and 39 minutes. Earlier this year the brand first launched G-FLY™ Graphene foam – which delivers 25% greater energy return – when debuting it on the award-winning TRAILFLY™ ULTRA G 300 MAX trail running shoe, that we presented you here. Building on that success, inov-8 will now use it in a hiking product for the first time. The lower the number on our scale, the narrower the fit, which ensures minimal internal movement of the foot when running fast on technical terrain. Shoes with the higher numbers on our scale will suit athletes with a wider foot and those wanting that extra comfort in the toe box. This wider toe box allows the toes to splay for increased stability when lifting heavy weights. It’s also perfect for longer runs and races when toes begin to swell. This is a review of my favourite walking boots, the RocFly G 390 boots. I’ve just completed the Cape Wrath Trail wearing a pair. I am reviewing the men’s boots but they’re also available in a women’s version. Inov-8 RocFly G 390 boots Inov-8’s biggest draw for me is their durability; Graphene infused rubber on the soul of their shoes, G-GRIP seems far more rugged than any rubber used by anyone else on the market. They have deep 4mm lugs that aggressively grip the dirt on any terrain.

They have a well-cushioned midsole that provides a good amount of bounce; these boots propel me forward. The biggest test for me is always how badly my feet hurt after a long section of road walking on a multi-day hike, and these kept me going without being in too much pain. Big fan of these and Inov-8 in general inov-8 first used Graphene in 2018 when launching GRAPHENE-GRIP™ rubber on the outsoles of its hiking, running and fitness shoes. Sales of its footwear featuring the tough-gripping wonder-rubber have surged globally over the last three years.

UNIQUE AGILITY: A revolutionary ADAPTER-FLEX groove cuts through the outsole rubber and midsole foam, allowing the foot and boot to move more naturally. I didn’t think it was possible to make walking boots anymore comfortable than Inov-8 had already done with the Roclite range, but they’ve out done themselves with these. As soon as I put them on they felt good, I didn’t feel they needed any wearing in and went straight out for a 22 miles walk. I arrived home without sore feet or any blisters. I’m very impressed. Vertical grooves cut into the rubber allow the foot’s metatarsal bones to move more independently, aiding adaptability and flexible grip when hiking over uneven terrain. Inov-8 was the first sports brand to incorporate Graphene into footwear. Graphene is a very hard wearing material and the soles of inov-8 trail running shoes and the new boots are highly durable and give great grip. The grip, in my experience, is better on drier trails than on wet terrain but it’s still a great asset. Forgiving forefoot width, good for wide feet or feet that grow after days and days of hiking: Alex/SamThe laces are a good length, nice to use and strong. They adjust the boots to fit the foot well with the laces running through holes with one pair of hooks at the top. So it’s easy to loosen the boots when putting them on and taking them off. Gaiters All applicable customs and import duties and any other charges are the responsibility of the customer. My typical measure of a thru-hiking shoe is how much I dread putting it on on day 5. I’ve yet to get the ROCFLY G 390s on a 5-day trip, but can say that on a 3-day trip, not only did I not dread putting them on, I actually didn’t want to take them off.
