Helen: I'd attach a strap to the handle to give you more confidence in the product given the pointers identified above, such as issues with steering and the difficulties when walking where there is a gradient on footpaths. I'd also sew in the padding for the clip the pushchair straps attach into. This is detachable, presumably, so it can be washed but just slides on and off the clip easily meaning it can be lost. Of course, one downside to buying online is that you aren’t able to see the product in-person. But there are many ways to help you determine a product’s quality without seeing it. Next up is material. Read through the product description for Micralite ProFold Footmuff to get an understanding of the materials the product is made from. Some materials will obviously be known for delivering better quality item than others. You might also have decided that you’ll only accept a product made from a particular material. Nichola: I love how easy this product is to use overall. It folds so small and compact it's unbelievable (and can be done with just one hand too!)The quality of the design is great and doesn't resemble a typical stroller at all in my opinion. The product looks valuable and is valuable with a nice sized basket (which is essential as a mum of 2 small ones) and suspension making it a comfortable ride and stroll - it is so lightweight too that is glides. Emily: I loved that it had a cup holder, but it wasn’t very secure and kept falling off. This wasn’t a huge deal for me, but it would be nice if it was a bit more robust. I also found that the straps come apart very easily, which made them a bit fiddly to do up when my baby was being wriggly. If they clipped together more firmly it would have been a bit easier. Overall though, these were just minor issues on an otherwise fantastic pushchair.

Disclaimer: This Micalite ProFold pram was given to me a press sample but I was under no obligation to write about it. I have chosen to write this review as I feel the pram is a good quality product that I am happy to recommend. All words are honest and my own. We’ve had a few compact strollers over the years, starting with the Maclaren Mark II (nice but doesn’t recline), the Silvercross Jet (great for babies but wobbly with bigger toddlers) and the Babyzen Yoyo (a really good one but bumpy on uneven surfaces). So I was excited to try out the Micralite ProFold, a multi-award winning compact stroller. Micralite launched a new colour, Graphite, in October 2020 and we were sent one to review. This stroller has a great sized shopping basket. But do you know what’s even better? You can actually get into it! The Babyzen Yoyo has a big bar across the shopping basket so it’s really difficult to get in it! I’m usually out and about with three children so a big shopping basket is absolutely vital! Great price

When we got our first pushchair for George – now almost 6 years ago – I didn’t think one-handed fold was an important feature in a stroller. But have you ever tried to get on a bus or a train on your own when you need to fold down the pushchair whilst also holding your child!? It’s pretty much impossible. Of the 126 products, we discovered that 30 were more expensive and 89 were cheaper than Micralite ProFold Pushchair. Prices from Micralite We introduced new pushchair tests in 2015, 2018 and again in 2019. This model will not be directly comparable to those tested before October 2019 Nathasha: The ProFold makes your life easier by making the compact stroller an actual everyday use stroller too. You could readily swap this out for your usual pram once your child is big enough. I would probably wait until at least 6 months as these lightweight prams don’t have the cocoon effect that other sturdier prams offer. But it gives you the freedom to reduce your pram footprint early on without compromising on comfort for your child. I love how small it folds down to and how neatly it stands in the hallway. Very handy if you are limited in space at home or in your car boot. And I feel my little one is super comfortable in the extended hood, the UV protection and airy feeling it offers my little one is ideal especially for the summer. Its hood was more effective than my existing Babyzen one so I was more inclined to use the ProFold. Would you recommend this to other mums?

The additional four-wheel suspension ensures your little one has the smoothest, most comfortable ride possible in this compact stroller. Most important of all my son looks really comfortable in it and enjoys sitting in it. Would you recommend this to other parents? Today I’m reviewing the Micralite ProFold, a compact stroller perfect for both travelling and everyday adventures. As the name suggests, it’s the fold of this pushchair that is a real selling point and one of my favourite features! This pushchair was gifted in exchange for an honest review. What did you think of my Micralite ProFold review? Are you in the middle of choosing a new pram? If you have any further questions about this pram, feel free to leave a comment in the box below. Although her three-year-old walked alongside her when travelling up and down stairs, she was able to manage the buggy and a bag while holding her daughter’s hand. She did note, however, that she wouldn’t want to do this with a pushchair any heavier.

You can’t adjust the handlebar so I feel like I’m walking too close to that brake. I don’t expect the handlebar to be adjustable on a compact stroller but it definitely needs to be longer. I’m only 5’3 and I find it too short so I’m guessing that someone who is 6ft would find it almost impossible. Next up is the material. Take a look at what Micralite ProFold Pushchair is made from. Often you can spot the quality of the product based on the materials used to make it, with some obvious signs of a cheaper product with certain types of material. With some toys this will be more important than others. So you’ll already have a good idea of whether the material is actually a big deal or not when buying Prams and pushchairs. If the brand you buy is important to you, our best advice is to spend some time writing up your own list of ideal brands. That way when you come to the point where you’re comparing product options you can filter to only show the products from brands in your list.OK, so we’ve chatted about all the good things about the Micralite ProFold, what about the things that aren’t so good? For me, there’s only really one downside to this lightweight stroller and that’s the break… The badly placed brake The sunshade offers generous UV protection (50+), unzipping to reveal breathable mesh that allows a cool breeze to filter through. Our tester’s three-year-old was shaded from thighs upwards and Adele noted that a baby would have been fully in the shade.
