Korsh inspired goes to 3 fury with his Shortspear and increases his dodge characteristic to 2, making him more survivable when using his redeployment action. Plus he now only gains a move token instead of a charge token when using his ability! Let’s have a look at their fighters and abilities of the Beasts of Chaos Warband. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Beasts of Chaos Warband Imbue with Azyrite Energy ( Triple, Kixi-Taka): add 1 to Move and Toughness of friendly fighters in range. A flexible warband with a hybrid play style of combat and non-combat objectives. The warband’s Inspire condition triggers when two enemy fighters have been slain. Burning Sigil of Tzeentch: Resolve the effect of the Radiant Transmogrification ability as if it were the end of the movement phase.

Storm of Eldritch Lightning(Triple, Averon): a change to perform quite some damage (up to 18) to an enemy within range. In a narrative campaign these fighters do not roll for injuries or renown. They cannot take artefacts of power but can take heroic traits (rules have been adapted for Warcry 2.0 in White Dwarf 482). Peerless Combatant(Double, all Arenai):enemy fighter’s reaction cannot damage this fighter until the end of the round. All other Guardian fighters are Tree-Revenants but with a very different weapon profile than their counterpart. They share the 4″ Movement and Toughness 3 but have higher wounds (10, except Skhathael with 12) but they do not have the ability to tele-transport around the battlefield (that makes the Tree-Revenants an excellent objective-thief, considering also the low cost). Instead they have an ability to increase their damage on critical hits by 1. But Ghroth’s ambition is not unopposed. Rivals within his own warherd seek to cheat him of the prize he covets, and in the enchanted forest of Thornwyld, an enemy of a different kind stirs. The branchwraith Kyra has also had a vision, an apocalyptic foretelling of the destruction Ghroth will unleash upon her home. Gathering a retinue of dryads, Kyra hastens to thwart Ghroth’s hunt – either by killing him or destroying the dark relic he seeks.

Korsh “The Sneak” can ambush from a board edge – giving you that true beastmen feeling – the unexpected fighter in the wild. If you have an existing Beasts of Chaos army for Age of Sigmar, you could potentially obtain 3 different Warcry warbands, one around each of the main factions: Brayherd with Gors and Bestigors, Warherd with Bullgors and Thunderscorn with Dragon Ogors. Bloodscent(Triple, Riptooth):perform a bonus move with all friendly characters within range of him. Ghur is a realm of vast wilds and savage beasts. Few are more vicious than the herdchief, Ghroth the Rootcutter. Brutal and ruthless, he leads his warherd from one massacre to the next, slaughtering all who defy him. Yet this is not enough to sate Ghroth’s bloodthirsty ambition – to become the mightiest of beastlords. When a fearsome vision promises Ghroth the power he craves, he leads a small band of warriors far across the wastes to seize the relic that will make all beastkin submit to his dominion. The basic Ungor with Ungor Blade and Half-Shield is a weaker version of the shield-carrying Gor with less wounds for a cheaper price if you are short in points.

Beastgrave will introduce three (and hopefully more) new and characterful warbands to the game. Here’s what I hope they bring to the tabletop. And there you have it! You may have noticed I’m missing Ironsoul’s Condemnors – they’re my last warband to paint, and then I will have painted all currently released warbands from Dreadfane and Beastgrave, which is a first for me! This time, I’ll be following Mengel’s Contrast Eternals painting guide but with a green twist. Lighaen counts as Beast, and his profile is similar to a Tree-Revenant with higher critical damage (1/4), 8″ Movement but also higher cost. Games Workshop have already revealed a new upcoming warband – Rippa’s Snarlfangs! Channeling the spirit of the steppe-riding Goblin wolf-riders of the World that Was, Rippa’s Snarlfangs will be raiding across Ghur. Basic Gors are your best option if you just want to swarm the enemy with models, but it doesn’t have any other interesting tactical uses. While technically Sylvaneth, the Wild Hunt represent a different group of sylvan aelves: the Kurnothi. As such none of them has an existing counterpart in Warcry. The insert is divided into 12 compartments for safe and clear storage of miniatures and game material. Six of them are individually designed for 'Grashrak's Despoilers'. Grashrak's Fellhoof and its Ungor herd, consisting of Draknar, Gnarl, Ushkor, Murghoth Half-Horn and Korsh, the Sneak, are safely embedded in soft foam.
