Description

Replaces a brazier of holy fire with a version which removes the “one use only” clause. Yawn. Minoris Convictions Note that Miracle dice can also be gained via other rules. No matter the source, you can only gain Miracle dice from such a rule if every unit from your army has the ADEPTA SORORITAS keyword (excluding models with the CULT IMPERIALIS, AGENT OF THE IMPERIUM or UNALIGNED keywords).

Example 1: Instead of rolling one D6 to see what value is added to a unit’s Move characteristic when that unit Advances, you could use a dice from your Miracle dice pool. If the value of that dice was 5, you would add 5" to the Move characteristic of every model in that unit for that Movement phase. In a similar manner to a Chaplain of the Adeptus Astartes, a Dogmata is the personification of righteousness, leading her fellow Sororitas in war hymns as she advances stoically into battle. Yet, she’s more than just a spiritual exemplar. A Dogmata holds the power to condemn any Sister to join the Repentia – or, worse still, be consigned to a Mortifier – to seek atonement or redemption in death. The Adepta Sororitas are great at spreading their faith in close combat, courtesy of units such as Celestian Sacresants , but they truly excel at medium range, where they can unleash the full power of the bolter, flamer, and meltagun. The Hallowed Martyrs Detachment even offers a Stratagem that lets them fire in your opponent’s Shooting phase. Now, the leaders of your armies can take on one of these blessings and bathe the battlefield in divine light. As a Celestian, each Sacresant is a highly skilled warrior, able to overcome many times her own number in battle. Sacresants wield a variety of blessed polearms and maces with which to smite the unclean, and bear large, ornate shields to ward off the blows of their enemies. Protected in both body and spirit, Celestian Sacresants are the wall against which waves of heretics will break. Most notably, this impacts on storm bolters and all flamers. Every flame weapon in this book is a “Ministorum” flamer, which in practice means +1S – so S4 for hand flamers, S5 for regular, and S6 for heavy. All good stuff, especially on the latter two given the ominous T5 green tide on the horizon. Meanwhile, the storm bolters you buy as unit upgrades ( not the ones attached to vehicles or paragon suits) are now “artificer-crafted storm bolters”, which have D2, which is definitely one way to make them worth 5pts! The other change is that the condemnor boltgun is now a combi-weapon, with a normal boltgun mode and a stake launcher (plus the ability to fire both at -1 to hit). The stake mode is pretty nifty – it’s S4 AP-1 D2, and if the wound is allocated to a psyker (so after rolling to wound but before making saves) they take an additional d3 mortals. They’re not cheap at 10pts, but it’s nice to see them get broad utility outside their one specific use case, and being really good at that. If you’ve played against a reroll to hit and wound, you know how strong that really is! The second buff is cool because you only have to start that unit within the 6″ in the command phase. So you can start a unit close and then move away and still get the buffs. 40k Adepta Sororitas 9th Edition Asestred Thurga and Agathae Dolan Datasheet

Each Paragon Warsuit is equipped with enough firepower to rival a Dreadnought of the Adeptus Astartes. The warsuit’s left arm is outfitted with a heavy bolter, heavy flamer, or multi-melta, which is augmented by a shoulder-mounted secondary weapon system in the form of a grenade launcher or pair of storm bolters. For melee opponents, the warsuit’s pilot wields a large war blade with which to hew through her enemies or an enormous mace designed to crush even the largest skulls in a single blow. Before making a dice roll for a model or a unit from your army with the Acts of Faith ability, if you have one or more dice in your Miracle dice pool, that unit can perform an Act of Faith. To do so, select one or more of the dice from your Miracle dice pool, instead of making any or all of those dice rolls. For each individual dice that is being rolled as part of the dice roll, you can select 1 Miracle dice from your Miracle dice pool to be substituted in place of that dice. The dice that it is being substituted for is not rolled, and instead the value of the selected Miracle dice is used as if it had been rolled. Each Miracle dice can only be selected for substitution once. Once all Miracle dice substitutions have been made, remove the chosen Miracle dice from your Miracle dice pool, and roll any remaining, unsubstituted dice that are a part of the dice roll. You can use Miracle dice when a unit performs an Act of Faith for any of the following types of dice roll: The ramifications for all the forces involved in this narrative event are huge, and Battle Group Tarsus of the Indomitus Crusade arrives to combat the growing tide of Chaos invaders before the entire system is lost. Will Metalica hold? Can House Raven’s stronghold, the mighty Keep Inviolate, remain inviolate? You’ll have to wait to find out. In preparation for a series of grand crusades across the stars, the Adepta Sororitas have been cooking up all kinds of new and upgraded Stratagems to deploy on the battlefield. Here are a few of our absolute favourites.

How They’ll Play

Sisters retain their single choice in this section, and that’s still pretty much fine as Battle Sisters remain generically fine. There are a couple of changes to the datasheet, notably that their weapon upgrade choices have been revamped to something similar to Skitarii. At nine or fewer models, you can now have one special or heavy weapon (plus a sergeant upgrade). Once you hit ten models it’s either one special and one heavy or two specials, and if you take 20 models that doubles up. The fight last effect is a little less powerful following the recent FAQs, but the Miraculous ability is pretty powerful – it’s only once per game, but if you can get it off at a key moment against the right target it’s a valuable effect. Speaking of which, this awesome new unit is on its way soon, so if you want to make sure you already have an Adepta Sororitas collection to add them to, grab yourself a Battle Sisters Squad or two today.* They have a strong move, decent Strength, save, and Toughness. With only 4 wounds a pop, the damage reduction is really nice, hopefully with the 2+ save they will be able to survive some shooting. Overall, not a bad statline, we’ll just have to wait for points on them to see how effective they will be. After their revival in late 8th edition, the Adepta Sororitas – better known as the Sisters of Battle – have become a mainstay of the 40k scene, with some very successful lists in both 8th and 9th editions. Today we’re taking a look at their 10th edition index to see how their unique playstyle has translated across to the new edition.

When an even greater defensive wall is needed, look no further than the shield-carrying Celestian Sacresants and their Ecclesiarchal comrades in the Crusaders. Both blessed with powerful shields and trained to hold the line at any cost, using Inviolate Shieldwall will see bullets, bolts, and las blasts peel off them like rainwater. Paragon Warsuit Rules The Enhancements for Sisters are interesting. Saintly Example is the weakest; it makes it so when the bearer dies, they generate D3 Miracle dice instead of just 1. If you really want Miracle Dice in your life then it’s an option, but it relies on your character dying and it’s still only d3. When an even greater defensive wall is needed, look no further than the shield-carrying Celestian Sacresants and their Ecclesiarchal comrades in the Crusaders . Both blessed with powerful shields and trained to hold the line at any cost, using Inviolate Shieldwall will see bullets, bolts, and las blasts peel off them like rainwater. We’re not showing off her stats, but it goes without saying that she starts off as the embodiment of the God-Emperor’s might and only gets deadlier. On the tabletop, if Aestred Thurga plants her sacred standard at the right place and time, the tide of a battle can be turned in an instant. These holy Sisters also serve as great additions to a Crusade force. Not only do they fit in thematically, but they come with a pair of abilities that interact well with the bespoke Adepta Sororitas Crusade rules in the new codex. Whether you’re a player or a painter, they’re perfect for your collection. DogmataThe immediate standout from this list is Righteous Rage, which now mirrors Hatred Eternal from the Drukhari codex, allowing the Warlord to re-roll all hits and wounds in melee. This is a strong trait by itself, but it’s also Morvenn Vahl’s required trait, and she is already a beast in combat – why would you not make her your Warlord? Essentially, small units of these are still great line infantry, and there’s a real angle on going big in the new book. Good stuff. Elites Each time you gain a Miracle dice, roll one D6. The number you roll is the value of that Miracle dice. This value cannot be changed or re-rolled, unless a rule specifically states otherwise. Keep your Miracle dice to one side - this is your Miracle dice pool. First up – yes the damage reduction wording on WarCom is the same in the book, no we still don’t think it’s intended, and for the purposes of this review are assuming “to a minimum of 1” is going to be added to the effect post-haste. There’s also an apparent typo in their points as things stand, which claims they’re 240pts per model on a fixed unit of 3. We’re going to work on the assumption that these are 80pts each, but not totally invulnerable to small arms fire, until we hear otherwise. Inspiring Orator has also gotten some boosts, which gives +3” to hymns or Command abilities, and also grants an aura that allows CORE units within 6” to ignore the Combat Attrition penalty for being below Half Strength.
