If there is food visible in the water, you probably don’t need to feed them. As a general guide, feeding every 2-3 days would be expected for many Aqua Dragons, and every 4-5 days for fewer. When you receive them, your Aqua Dragons eggs are in a state of hibernation called Cryptobiosis, and they need you to bring them to life! You may be able to see your Aqua Dragons using a magnifying glass in as little as 24 hours, and you should be able to see some with the naked eye within 3-4 days. Their very efficient way of living and reproducing has enabled them to arrive to today’s day almost exactly as they were millions of years ago. Tests have found that eggs kept in air sealed containers for up to 20 years still hatched when they were returned to water.

To turn the LED light on there’s a little switch in the base. You’ll need to put in 2 AAA batteries (not included) to make the light work.Don’t add any food to the tank until the day after you see the first Aqua Dragons hatching. That’s usually around 48-72 hours after setting up your tank. Aqua Dragons are known for their hardiness and ability to adapt to different environments, but it's still important to be mindful of their health and provide them with proper care to ensure they live a healthy and happy life. Aqua Dragons Toy To create a suitable habitat for your Aqua Dragons, you'll need an aquarium. You can buy various shapes, you can also use a glass or plastic jar. The water should be between 17-30°C and does not need to be changed. Aqua Dragons require a well-balanced diet which we supply in the food sachet. It’s easy to set up as the tank comes assembled. As the kit is suitable for slightly older children (recommended for ages 6+) and my children are pretty rubbish at waiting, we set the kit up on evening when they were in bed. I kept the tank going for a further week just in case they were hiding, aerating the tank every now and then, but alas, our dragons had ceased to be. They were ex-aqua dragons. RIP little buddies.

Aqua Dragons are little aquatic creatures also known as brine shrimp or artemia to tropical fish keepers like us. I won’t scar you by letting you know what we do with them but they are labelled ‘live food’. It’s not normally necessary, but if you want to clean the tank you can carefully tip your Aqua Dragons (and their water) into another clean container while you rinse out their tank. Only use water and a clean cloth or brush to clean the tank, don’t use any chemicals or detergent, because that could harm your Aqua Dragons.
