I have an easier assignment; Hermès has launched just three Terre d'Hermès flankers: Terre d'Hermès Eau Très Fraîche, Terre d'Hermès Parfum and the new Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver. In the middle there was always a desolate and empty boredom for me - into which much was kept secret: from flintstone to an asphalt surface after midsummer rain. It just smelled like a lot of Iso-E Super to me. Christine Nagel has now given the thing pepper, Szechuan pepper more precisely, and the result is a powerful and persistent spice. The price or the price-performance ratio is, I think, generally justified and for an average of 80€/100 ml also affordable for everyone, although it is "too uncomplex" for this price and I would expect a little more, but this is of course in the eye of the beholder. Doch er ist nicht nur für Fans von TdH interessant, sondern vor allem für alle, die dem Thema Vetiver zugeneigt sind, aber mit der ein oder anderen eher kratzigen Version Probleme haben. Da sei selbstredend der Vetiver von Guerlain genannt. Ein absoluter Klassiker, den ich selbst mal in meiner Sammlung hatte, der mir allerdings ein paar Grad zu rau, kratzig und herb gewesen ist und nach dem Aufbrauchen nicht nachgekauft wurde. The durability gets 9 points from me and the Sillage 7 points, because the scent projects 1.5 on my skin and 3 hours over one meter on my clothes and lasts / is perceptible on my skin for more than 10 hours and on my clothes almost the whole day until late evening. In my eyes this is worthy of an eau de parfum. Nevertheless, I give him - despite my probably positive description - only 7 points, one point I deduct because the scent is too linear and "too uncomplex", one because of the vector, which seems too earthy and not woody enough, and one because I personally miss something sweet. Whereby I would like to praise in particular the fact that all in all it is a very distinctive and masculine scent, which in my opinion not everyone can wear, since with it one is very likely to attract attention and radiate (male) authority. The strength of vetiver mixed with the vitality of the Sichuan pepper and green bergamot. On the horizon, another Terre. Vetiver, inherent to Terre since its origins, is the culmination of this new composition. The initial woody and mineral balance of Terre becomes woody and vegetal.And what was waiting for me? Citrus, citrus and more citrus. The very strong and distinctive, yet round and not artificial-looking bergamot is the prelude to Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver. For the first 15-20 minutes I perceive almost exclusively the "green-natural" looking bergamot, but to which I am increasingly added the vetiver, which for me is more earthy than woody. Also a certain sharpness is now perceptible thanks to the Szechuan pepper, which in my opinion is good for the fragrance and gives it that certain "pep". After approx. 1.5-2 hours the bergamot has completely disappeared, leaving a woody, earthy vetiver, which gets a certain, but by no means biting, sharpness, perhaps also spiciness, from the Szechuan pepper. Der Duft eröffnet zitrisch-frisch, wobei die als Bergamotte bezeichnete Note ungewöhnlich lange hält. Sie erschien mir etwas anders, nicht ganz typisch. Der Schluss liegt nahe, dass statt des natürlichen Bergamotteöls ein synthetischer Duftstoff verwendet worden sein könnte. Hinter das Zitrische stellt sich eine frische grüne Note, die ich als "gurkig" empfunden habe - eine seltsame Kombination für einen Herrenduft. Und das mit Power. Denn Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver strahlt siginfikant ab, für ca. 8 Stunden. Dabei empfand ich ihn am besten mit 3-4 Spritzern auf der Brust, was ihm beim Übergehen auf's Shirt die kräftige Sillage und andauernde Haltbarkeit verschafft. Sollte man in diesem Bereich über Haare verfügen, richtet sich jedes einzelne davon auf und auch man selbst nimmt unweigerlich eine kerzengerade Haltung an;)

Da war zunächst der Auftakt mit den leicht fauligen Orangen. Man hat nun einen guten Schuss Bergamotte dazu getan und dadurch ein bisschen die Anmutung von Grapefruit erhalten, was angenehm herb-frisch rüberkommt. First there was the start with the slightly rotten oranges. A good shot of bergamot has now been added, giving it a bit of grapefruit-like appearance, which is pleasantly bitter and fresh. Vetiver hat einen guten Klang, darin muss man wohl den Grund für solche Namesgebungen sehen. Ich halte wenig davon, Parfums mit Duftnoten zu bezeichnen, die dann nicht oder kaum wahrnehmbar sind. Das verwirrt, vor allem den Parfumanfänger. I tested Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver for three days. On the first two days of wear, I used half a sample each day (about 1 ml of scent); on day three I wore an entire vial (2 ml). Though Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver certainly smelled stronger with a larger dosage, it had almost no sillage and stayed so close to my body after the first few hours I had to put nose to skin (or shirt) to smell it. There's nothing truly "intense" about this perfume after its first few minutes of development. I have to be honest: personally I would not have bought it, because although I have nothing against vetiver in principle, it is not my favourite ingredient and I prefer other fragrances and scents.Und so wünscht man sich einen Duft doch eigentlich, oder? Schon, aber für mich ist diese Richtung einfach zu maskulin. Ich halte ihn für einen top Duft wenn es in eine säuerlich, kräftig kühle Grünholzigkeit gehen soll und man nichts in Richtung Barbershop sucht. Doch obwohl ich es nicht so recht wahrhaben wollte und dieser Vetiver eigentlich recht gut zu mir passen müsste, konnte ich mich über die Monate doch nicht so recht mit ihm anfreunden, weil er mir schlicht zu prägnant, markant und dominant war.
