They’re a powerful clipper. Really powerful. The fastest clipper speed runs at 4000 strokes per minute, so can handle any type or breed of coat. This results in a faster, more comfortable grooming clipper process. The Andis 2 speed clippers have 2 different speed settings and depending on the breed and coat of your pet pooch – you adjust the speed accordingly. The clippers glided through both the mattings and knots of our dogs. We tested these clippers on two Shitzus and clipped twice, 5 weeks apart. Selection of blades are available

While the “best” brand is fiercely debated amongst groomers, t here’s no doubt Andis produces some of the highest quality pet clippers. The company is also known for their excellent customer service and durable machines. I was pleased to find that this product comes with a rather generous quantity of clipper oil. The oil really does seem to make a definite difference, so make sure to keep putting it on the blade before and during clipping. They’re a heavy duty set of clippers but they’re wonderfully lightweight and easy to use. They were designed to provide both the user and pet comfort and Andis have most definitely succeeded! Andis clippers tend to have detachable blades rather than adjustable. While the company produces a few with adjustable blades, such as the Pulse Ion, Li and Whisper, these are exceptions rather than the rule. Like all SMC and AGC models, the clipper comes with a single 10 blade. You’ll probably want to buy extra blades or a stainless steel comb kit so you can vary length though. It’s compatible with UltraEdge, CeramicEdge and ShowEdge blades so you’ll have plenty of choice – and it can even fit Oster A5 blades.
