Crew [Thin Lizzy Crew on the tour 'Bad Reputation’ 1977], Management [Accountant] – John Slattery & Associates Some pressings of the record sleeve include a montage photograph in the studio containing a mirror, straw, razor blade and a rolled up five pound note (as an overt reference to cocaine consumption). Lynott insisted on adding the picture over the rest of the band's objections. The songs from Thunder and Lightning were welcome to hear too, those tunes have really grown on me, and add to the scope of Phil's writing catalog. The sound was a lot better to my ears than that on the Rainbow Theatre footage. I very much appreciate getting this footage for the price of the DVD which ostensibly geared toward the Rainbow Theatre.

You can hear the love for what they are doing and can’t help but smile yourself as you listen. And all of that is enough to transcend any ‘overdubgate’ because that is something you can’t fake, and it shows that, at the end of the day, this is just a great album and that’s all there is to it. Adrian Bolster: I was 14 at the time, still have my vinyl copy with photos from Fin Costello. Harmonica from Huey Lewis (Clover) on Baby Drives Me Crazy and John Earl on Sax from Graham Parker and The Rumour. Awesome. The best live album ever? It's always funny to see that just about every live-album is said or written to be the best live album in existence. Likewise from this album. I think I have 20 live albums with that predicate.

NOTE, on all the performance and interview footage I had to manually put the sound settings on stereo, the default is 5.1 and was muted on my system. At first I thought something was wrong with the DVD. The audio in the menus was on all the time for me. Now that I know that have to put the audio setting on stereo I'm not having problems.

Andrew Bramah: Great album. Only let down by the omission of a few songs they played when I saw them. Like Soldier Of Fortune which they opened with with, and Opium Trail and Bad Reputation. Side three of the original vinyl album is a bit generic crowd pleasing. I still think Robertson was a huge natural talent wasted. The band and Visconti listened to over 30 hours of archive recordings, looking for the best performances.
