Personal, Social and Emotional Development - Through encouraging teamwork, circle time games and group activities. In pairs I would then ask them to identify difference and similarities between each other. I would hope that the book would help younger children to see that it doesn't matter the colour of your skin, what food you eat or the clothes you wear - we are all equal. Expressive Arts and Design - Through creating group displays, mirror activities and experimenting with texture. She just missed having her third #1 when her covered version of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" peaked at #2 in 1965...

Using 'Ourselves planning' helps teachers and practitioners to really understand their children and gain greater insight into their lives. It also helps children to express themselves and learn more about their peers, encouraging empathy and celebrating diversity. Rob from ColoradoThis song is my praise to God! He is worthy of the lyrics and has become such a love to me by his grace. Joshua from La Crosse, WiGuitar soloist Joe Satriani recorded an entirely different, instrumental song with this same title in 1995. But between 1963 and 1993 she had twenty-one records enter the United Kingdom's Singles chart; ten made the Top 10 with two reaching #1, her other #1 was "Anyone Who Had a Heart" in 1964... She had only two more records make the Top 100 chart; "It's For You" (peaked at #79 in 1964) and "Alfie" (reached #95 in 1966)...My World and Your World is crafted from steel and stands at a colossal 16-metres tall. It is a sculpture commissioned as a permanent work for Lewis Cubitt Park in King’s Cross, and installed following a four year design and development process. Why not display children's 'Ourselves' work as an 'All About Me' Display in your classroom? It's a brilliant way to brighten up your setting and make children feel at home there. Or, read this We Are All Different Book in story time for a lovely conversation starter. You can get even more inspiration for an 'All About Me' Activity Tray Provision too.

I was looking for a book that all the children in my class could relate to when I stumbled across this in my Library. The story highlights that although people are of a different race or from different cultures they are all the same. The story compares language, dress, food, religion and hobbies: My World and Your World is the artist’s first permanent commission in London, and the first permanent artwork at King’s Cross. Rothschild describes the piece as a ‘social sculpture’, an invitation to explore the park, and a place at which to meet friends, have a play or a picnic.

The sculpture descends from a single point, diverging into branches which sink into the ground. The shape is inspired by the natural world – it could be the branches of an inverted tree, a river basin, a lightning bolt. It was only a few months ago when I heard this version on a Music 60s TV Channel, Not seeing the screen, I thought, "Wait a minute. What's Helen Reddy doing on a 60s channel?!"
