In this range, there were 24 minifigures released – two identical figures of the Mandalorian – so 23 distinct characters. (add 2 more from 75296 = 25 in total) Beyond that, 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser does what it needs to do –strike a balance between play and display in recreating a large-scale ship in LEGO form. But that it has to do so in direct competition with such a range of other LEGO Star Wars ships releasing at the same time, and all of them much cheaper, is where it faces a real challenge. — Characters — The figure can be attached via a stud at the bottom, while the hands are bars so it has a couple attachment points.

The front of the ship seems to be yet another area where the designers tried to make the best of a limited space. This is supposed to be the front hangar of the ship, and you can take one of the TIEs from the rear hangars and place them here.

In The Mandalorian it casts a menacing shape in the sky and in space, with intimidating size and power when coming up against Mando, Boba Fett and the others. For its use in Rebels too, it’s a now-familiar ship and a more than welcome addition to the LEGO Star Wars collection. Taking the same sort of piece count as has been afforded to larger Star Destroyer sets of the past also gives the design team more options in capturing the finer points of what is, by scale, a much smaller ship than those. Honestly, we dare not answer that question. Taking in the set on its own, 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser isn’t a LEGO model that deserves much criticism. It adapts the source material quite skilfully into LEGO form, to create not only an accurate microscale exterior complete with mini TIE Fighters (and a fun mechanism to launch them out of the front) but also a sizeable interior, with as much space and detail as is required to capture the spirit of the location as it appeared and was used in The Mandalorian. Weapons include The Mandalorian#39;s Amban phase-pulse blaster and spear, and Moff Gideon#39;s darksaber Imperial Light Cruiser is basically ripped off the screen, featuring Moff Gideon’s command ship and a star-studded cast of minifigures. Let’s take a closer look! There’s a 2×2 round red piece on the inside of the interior that you can press, which pushes an axle that launches out the TIE Fighter.

In many ways, 75315 Imperial Light Cruiser is close to the limit of what it can be in functions, design and authenticity for the piece count and number of minifigures included. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the price, which stretches at least 30% beyond that same limit. The engine pods are large cylinders built using round panel pieces. 4×4 trans light blue radar dishes are used for the thruster glow, while there are some small greebling details around. The selection of minifigures seen during this wave of LEGO® Star Wars sets has been remarkable, and the ones included in this set are no exception, although it is a shame that many of them are only included in the most expensive set of the wave. Dune's torso and legs display extensive detail too. The metallic silver mail covering her chest appears excellent, complemented by dark blue armour which continues across the legs. Cara Dune carries an enormous heavy blaster onscreen and I think this accessory could have been improved, although Din Djarin's beskar spear and Amban sniper rifle are splendid.
