Lapee is not the first innovation in female urination. Travel devices include the Shewee, which has been around for two decades. So the car was stopped and the girl, a pretty blond 20-something, jumped out, went to the side of the road, pulled down her panties and did her thing. This prompted another friend of hers to pull down hers and do the same thing - all in front of the males in the car. It was awesome! With a festival line-up that sported more than 160 bands from multiple genres, vastly different styles were represented. You had the super energetic and playful music of Manu Chao at the same festival as a soul-rending performance by Rob Zombie. All on the same stage that hosted Stevie Wonder, the Arctic Monkeys, Rolling Stones and Major Lazer. I'm not the smallest (though not massive - 5'11 and reasonably well built). However I find that being 'flexible' you can get through without much forcing - lead with a hand in front of you, tapping people on the shoulder and gently moving aside if needed.

Management of the crowds and any incidents inside the Stereophonics arena was the responsibility of the organiser and if required would call on the police to assist where necessary. Rhian Lewis tweeted: "Stereophonics were amazing. Horrendous infrastructure for the gig though. Nowhere near enough toilets for an event of that size, without any crowd management. Women having to shield each other with jumpers so we could pee. Degrading experience." We were in a car, and it was going a long distance, when one of them shouted out, "Stop the Car! I have to get out and take a pee!"The music line-up was awesome. More than that though, the performers seemed to be having an absolute blast. They were playing all sorts of extra sets, pausing for photos with the crowd, and just seemed as hyped and ecstatic as the audience at large. From start to finish the shows were full of life and all around epic. A few of the performers (here’s looking at you Arctic Monkeys) were obviously a bit drugged out or drunk, but for the most part they still managed to put on decent performances. With around half a million print readers a week and over 1.5 million web views per month, EWN has the biggest readership of any English language newspaper in Spain. The paper prints over 150 news stories a week with many hundreds more on the web – no one else even comes close. Most brazen– This one goes to the gentleman who, mid concert, decided that finding an object to pee on was entirely too much work. Instead he took advantage of a small open space in the grassy area in front of the Orange stage. Apparently an audience of 10,000 was no big deal.

But people at the gig claimed the situation was a problem particularly for women, as men were able to make use of open urinals in the park. As with all major events such as football and rugby matches and music festivals, there may inevitably be some queues for toilets, but this is to be expected when you have tens of thousands of fans enjoying themselves in a contained event space. And Louise Trowbridge wrote: "Will think twice about going to see a gig in Singleton Park. Toilet situation was absolutely disgusting, nowhere near enough for the amount of people in the park and being ripped off because of ridiculously overpriced drinks. Such a disappointment!" Taking your own is a much better option as it lets you stay in the public areas with the veteran festival goers and locals, however, in a pinch, renting a tent is an option. Just keep in mind the cost of a tent is about the same as buying a cheap one and you have to stay in a pre-assigned location. There is very little police presence at Roskilde, and it is essentially non-existent in the camps. Why? Because it isn’t needed. People aren’t fighting or stealing. They’re just there for a good time.
