In terms of cons, the tone control is fairly basic , and only allows a certain level of tone shaping, but it does have a good range. In general, I keep it set between 11am and 1pm and find that going outside of this leads to very dark and muddy or ear-piercingly bright. If I had to choose between the two amps, I would go with the Micro Dark because I am a pedal guy and I couldn’t live without the effects loop. Cons

It does not have a lot of knobs or potentiometers, which makes navigating the buttons and understanding the usage of the head more convenient. Let’s get right into the sound of the Orange Micro Terror. Although the equalization variants in the amp head are not comparable to the ones in the larger and more expensive amp heads, the Micro Terror is incredibly good at its job. Orange put the step-down transformer and DC rectifier in an external power adaptor to keep the size of the amp’s casing as small as possible.
