Tonally, the CE-3 sounded very similar to the CE-2, with the addition of a stereo mode selector that enabled switching between a panning chorus effect that emulates multiple guitars and a vibrato-style effect. Dimensional diversification The CE-2 shares similar circuitry to the CE-1, however, to fit the circuit into a compact enclosure BOSS were forced to make a number of changes, such as the removal of the vibrato function, the stereo output, the volume and intensity knobs and the integrated power supply.

After re-routing my board and cleaning up all the cables and power cords....VIOLA....smooth, shimmery Chorus thru my Rig! It adds a little something to the "Cleans" and even adds some extra tone to the HI-GAIN channel of my Marshall DSL 20watt Amp !

The Way Huge Smalls Blue Hippo Analog Chorus is a miniaturized, pedalboard friendly doppelganger of the original, preserving the same features and sweet tones in a compact pedal footprint. Though it’s not sized as a typical mini-pedal, it’s still small enough to fit into the palm of your hand and is less boxy than its original counterpart, making it super pedalboard-friendly. From the goth to grunge, the CE-2W is the chorus to beat. Learn how the deceptively simple pedal works wonders in the studio. Read more… What is the Waza Craft Pedal Line? Carbon: Approx. 18 hours Accessories Leaflet ("USING THE UNIT SAFELY,""IMPORTANT NOTES," and "Information") CH-1 is a very smooth and clean sounding chorus effect, that compliments any clean guitar signal beautifully (always works great on overdrive). It works great in mono, but also has a stereo output - stereo chorus is always cool!

The Rate and Depth control configuration are identical to that of the original Boss CE-2 chorus, but an extra output is provided for stereo chorus-only (output A)/direct-only (output B) effects. For our money, the key areas you should look at when buying a chorus are the range of speed and depth, whether it's digital or not, and whether it's stereo.

The CE-2W Chorus proudly honors the 40th anniversary of BOSS effects with a premium analog pedal made exclusively in Japan. Nowadays, most choruses are digital, which carries with it the usual tradeoff of increased flexibility at the expense of often more clinical tones. However, this isn't a given; not only are some digital effects rich and warm, but others emulate vintage units for a specific tone, like the Strymon Deco's tape machine modeling. The third option utilizes TC’s TonePrint technology – via a USB connection, users can import “custom pedal-tweaks made by top-performing guitarists” into the pedal, or design their own customized chorus effects from scratch with the free TonePrint Editor. A: No. Although there’s a lot of true bypass hype these days, neither true nor buffered bypass is objectively better than the another. On account of a buffer’s ability to drive long cable runs and provide silent switching, Boss remains resolutely in the buffered camp. Using the Brilliance knob, you can control the “sparkling” feel of the CE-20’s chorus sounds for effects that really cut through the mix. The secret is the CE-20’s unique ability to enhance a guitar’s harmonics. Another new control is the Ambience knob, which adds reverberation to the chorus for even greater spaciousness and depth. There’s never been a sound like it! Memories 4 Nominal Input Level GUITAR/BASS: -20 dBu

It has the same Rate and Depth controls and a bright red LED, and the finish matches the hue of the original baby blue paint. The CE-2W is even made in Japan and has a silver battery hatch screw just like the first version of the CE-2.Released in 176, the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble took the chorus circuitry from the JC amplifiers and placed it at the feet of guitarists everywhere. The CE-1 featured the very same circuit found in the JC series and included both chorus and vibrato functionality. Key Features These old-school sounds have been taken into new territory by more recent efforts from the likes of Fender and Walrus Audio, who have served up additional waveforms to adjust how angular the chorus sounds. There’s also a three-way toggle that lets the user choose between three chorus types, including TriChorus (which uses three stereo choruses with various offsets to produce what TC describes as a unique, very broad and lush chorus) and, yes, Stereo Chorus Flanger-style effects.
