Description

I’m a big fan of xylitol in my toothpaste and sugar-free gum. It’s actually good for your teeth. So my ears perked up years ago when I heard that just like chocolate, xylitol is toxic to dogs and cats, and I should never leave my gum or toothpaste lying around where my pets could get at them. Not a problem.

Note: Does not contain xylitol – small amount found in previous formulation – even though no issues with the amount of xylitol) This plaque that stays on the teeth long enough then hardens into tartar. When the tartar is above the gumline it is visible and your vet can remove it quite easily during a professional dental clean. It is the tartar below the gumline which presents problems. Cats: 2.5 mL (½ tsp) of solution into a clean bowl and add 250 mL (1 cup) of fresh water to the bowl each day For dogs and cats aged more than six months old, simply add 1ml of Vet Aquadent to every 100ml of water. It is advised to replace drinking water with fresh water every 24 hours, even if it has not all been consumed. Use fresh diluted solution only, as directed above.DIRECTIONS FOR USE:Shake before using. Light sedimentation is normal. First pour recommended dose into empty bowl then add 250 ml of drinking water for every 2,5 ml of product using the dosing cup. Provide additional non-treated water as needed. Discard any treated water not consumed within 24 hours. Prepare fresh C.E.T. AQUADENT solution each day. Water additives are recommended by the WSAVA* Global Dental Guidelines as part of home care for dental hygiene. It’s easy to forget that oral health is important for your pets too. Having clean teeth and gums not only makes them healthier, it can protect them from infections too.

The signs of dental disease in dogs and cats include: broken teeth, loose teeth, bad breath, a painful and bleeding mouth, a refusal to drink or eat and drooling. Bad breath can be unpleasant for dog and cat owners. When your pet has a healthy mouth and healthy teeth, bad breath will not be a problem. A good tip is to brush your pet’s teeth regularly. Vet Aquadent has been developed by veterinary experts who specialise in dental products to maintain good oral hygiene for dogs and cats. It is a palatable and refreshing solution, containing chlorhexidine and xylitol (which limits the dental tartar and plaque from forming in the first place) and helps to fight your pet's bad breath. Add it to your pet’s drinking water. What are the benefits of using Vet Aquadent? ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: per 5 mL (1 teaspoon): Erythritol 100mg, Inulin 25mg, Pomegranate extract (Punica granatum) 1.75mg Vet Aquadent's ease of use makes it a truly innovative product. Just add Vet Aquadent to your pet's water daily. No rinsing required. Vet Aquadent's ingredients act on their own each time your pet drinks water. This makes Vet Aquadent the perfect product for easy, daily oral health. With smaller concentrations of xylitol, the onset of clinical signs could be delayed as much as 12 hours after ingestion,” according to a 2006 press release from the center. The product is called CET AquaDent, and it’s a drinking water additive for dogs and cats. It’s supposed to help keep their breath fresh in conjunction with brushing.
