One of the company’s most popular and best selling products is easily the Coffee Face Scrub. Formulated with 100% natural ingredients, this scrub gently buffs away dead skin and leaves your face soft and rejuvenated. The Cleansing Face Balm smells and feels amazing to use, acting as a fantastic, light exfoliator thanks to its use of discarded apricot stones. It's not too gritty, and provided a moment of mindfulness each morning and night.

After the morning cleanse, I followed up with my usual moisturiser daily, switching it up with regular toner or UpCircle's Organic Face Serum on days where needed some TLC - usually twice or three times a week. I also used the serum every night after my cleanse. As previously mentioned, I tested UpCircle's 'Award-winners Bundle', which includes three things: a Cleansing Face Balm, Body Cream and Face Serum. Launched in 2016 by brother and sister duo William and Anna Brightman, UpCircle does cosmetics differently. The pair wanted to reduce waste and repurpose natural items, like used coffee grounds, which would inevitably end up in landfill. So beginning with a focus on coffee grounds, UpCircle started collecting reusable natural materials from local London coffee shops for their cosmetics products. If you're not sure on which UpCircle products or bundles to invest in you can take the brand's skincare quiz - it takes the pain away from being overwhelmed by choice.

I was attracted to the Upcircle products for their ingredients (all natural, no PEGs or other hormone disruptors) and the fact the the ingredients are repurposed. This second point as well as the fact that you can recycle your containers really appeals to me because I try not to use plastic where possible and recycle everything I can. I'm always on the hunt for skincare that's cost-effective, eco-conscious and a pleasure to use, which is why I jumped at the chance to review UpCircle skincare. After only three days of using UpCircle's Cleansing Face Balm everyday, morning and night, followed by three to four drops of serum most days and every night, I can honestly say that my skin felt absolutely incredible. I am notoriously pretty bad with my skincare, and feel quite overwhelmed when it comes to routines with multiple steps including toners, acids and night creams - which is why I opted for the multi-award winning bundle, to keep it super simple. The brand repurposes excess and leftover ingredients from manufacturing such as coffee granules and apricot seeds, and makes them a key ingredient in its products, saving on waste.

It was a pleasure to use, but considering the size of the pot and its price, I wouldn't be rushing to refill it in the same way I would with the Cleansing Balm and Face Serum. In my opinion, it's probably more suitable for drier, mature skin. Inspiring, upcycling, uplifting: This Face Serum is made with coffee oil from leftover coffee grounds to make your skin glow! After just a few days of using UpCircle's skincare, my skin felt more nourished thank to the brand's Face Serum, and plumper and clearer thanks to my twice-daily use of its apricot-stone Cleansing Balm. Inside the box, each of the three skincare products from the Award-winners Bundle were wrapped securely in brown paper to save on plastic bubble wrap. UpCircle reuses and repurposes leftover ingredients like coffee granules, apricot stones and date seeds to be used in its skincare, rather than see it go to waste. Since it launched, its managed to repurpose more than 350 tonnes of ground coffee in its products, which is pretty impressive.FINDING cosmetics that are great both for your skin and the planet can feel pretty much impossible. The products are lovely. I use the face serum and face moisturiser with vitamin C in the morning and the hyaluronic night cream. I also use the date seed moisturiser for my hands.

I already have a trusty moisturiser, but I've been looking for an everyday cleanser that is soft enough to use on my sensitive skin, yet effectively removes stubborn grime, pollution and make-up. The Upcircle Face Moisturizer is a light to medium weight moisturizer that’s creamy yet still breathable. It has somewhat of a moussy texture and smells quite herbal. Also excellent as a hair or beard oil – jojoba oil softens hair whilst rosehip keeps the skin beneath healthy and reduces irritation. If you love the idea of promoting a circular economy and using products that reduce food waste, Upcircle Beauty has a growing range of skin and body care products that salvage coffee, chia, ginger, date seeds and more that would otherwise be discarded. They even make candles. If you love the idea of your skincare smelling like coffee, then look for the Upcircle products with upcycled coffee like their Face Serum. The Upcircle Night Cream smells like sweet buttercream. To use, the company recommends shaking the tube before applying the product to a clean, damp face. After leaving on for several moments, you should rinse the scrub off. This product can be used multiple times a week — though it is not recommended for daily use. I have noticed a visible reduction in spots, my skin feels healthier and looks brighter, and (dare I say it) my wrinkles don't seem as deep-set as before. The “Best Moisturizer” 2021 winner by the Beauty Shortlist Awards is made with finely-ground powder of discarded argan shells, a natural by-product of the argan oil industry and rich in antioxidant Vitamin E, cocoa butter and blood orange. When it came to the Body Cream, I found it pretty gloopy and ideal for super dry skin, but it wasn't something I'd want to use everyday as it took a while to sink into the skin.

Use our organic face oil morning and night to help boost collagen and keep skin firm. Rich in Vitamin C, antioxidant-rich coffee and rosehip oils fade dark spots and scars whilst brightening the complexion. I love the scent of the skincare, and UpCircle's ethos, and will definitely be refilling my products when they run out.UpCircle offer refills on most products, including face cleanser, moisturiser, toner, body scrub, face masks, body lotions, serums, eye creams and hand soaps. Absolutely! As I mentioned above, UpCircle (a play on words from the term 'upcycle' - geddit?) is one of the most sustainable skincare brands I've come across. Plus, you can mix and match UpCircle's bundles, too, building your own to make sure you get the best of most worlds if needs be.
