Along with angst galore another thing guaranteed from this author is comeuppance. And I’m happy with how it turned out in the end. Each time the sister came into their lives and he apologizes to her for marrying his wife I wanted to stab him in the face. 🔪 every chapter was the exact same: raven (fmc) gets insecure about ares’ (mmc) past relationship with her sister. she voices her worries, they have a long talk, they sleep together. her sister shows up and flirts with ares, and she gets uncertain all over again. they have the same talk, they sleep together. repeat ten thousand times!! The Bad: The drama was so OTT it was ridiculous. The h being a doormat and the H being so dang confusing.

I very much disliked Raven in the previous book but I still wished her the best in this book , the male main character was an absolute dipshit that made me gag everytime he opened his mouth . Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Raven and Ares' story. They've known each other for years and Raven used to be set up to marry Ares because of an old family agreement and arranged marriage, only it all changed when Ares met Raven's sister and she became his love. Only her sister gets cold feet and calls off the wedding one too many times and Raven is forced to fill in for her. She has been loving Ares while being his little sister's best friend, his close friend, and his fiancé's little sister and she is unsure if she'll survive having to step in for her sister in a marriage to Ares. There is some family drama, some sexy times, and some secrets revealed...and they get a HEA ending.Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story. So this is a dual POV that follows Ares and Raven. Ares is the eldest son of this very wealthy family and the CEO of a media production company. Raven is a gorgeous supermodel and fashion designer. Raven also happens to be in love with Ares, even though he happens to be her best friend's brother and her sister's fiance. Ares's family has a tradition that all the members of the Winston Family have an arranged marriage, and when Raven's sister gets cold feet, the wedding has to happen one way or another and Raven ends up walking down the aisle... I also loved that Raven was a super model with a business on side. Smart, se*y and sweet. But she was so emotionally vulnerable to her family and I hated how they manipulated her and she allowed it. But halfway through she started changing and I cheered for her. What a weak “hero”. 🙄 we are told that he loves the sister so much that the thought of marrying his best friend (her sister) is insane to him. Yet this is the same girl that he can’t stand to go without talking to and has sexy dreams about. Then without much of a fight on his part, they go through with the wedding and then like a week later he is confessing how much he loves her? Gag me.

The Grandmother aka Puppet Master who not only directs which heroine hooks up with what hero, but makes outrageous demands…more later on her. Despite how everyone adores her, her demands may make her the most villainous of all. Overall Pace of Story: Not the best. I skimmed a good bit for the last 1/4ish because it dragged and I no longer cared all that much. Overall: This was a freaking mess! It started out alright but I honestly don't know how I finished it! It started going downhill and just kept on snowballing and getting so much worse! Cringey OTT drama and unlikeable characters = a 2 star read. When he had to marry the heroine, he suffered, because of her sister, that she left him, but then abruptly fell out of love with her and realized that he had loved the heroine all this time. I can't stand such a hero, for me it's worse than non-compliance with celibacy! 😡 The H…so beta he makes doodlebugs look like bugs of steel. His grandmother tells him to marry so marry he does. OW slithers out so in comes the heroine. Vows celibacy and devotion to the h only to have OW show up with tears in her eyes so he takes her to dinner….THE NIGHT AFTER THE WEDDING! He is faithful, but the evil OW has his number. He's a nice guy in general, and thinks he loves the heroine. Bizarre turnaround at the end and after all the sister's machinations come out he declares he never ever loved her so what's the deal?this read had so much potential. i liked the characters at first, the conflicts, the idea of the plot. but by the time i reached the 60% mark, i was skimming lines: the repetitiveness was killing me. because instead of building a strong relationship between the protagonists, the author chose to make their love story frustratingly shallow. Oh how I wish our FMC had another love interest that made the MMC fight a little hard for her. Our FMC was too available and focused on him. She needed another man to sweep her away to fancy dinners to make her feel special and show her how to be treated.

Where do I even start? I loved many parts of this book but similarly I was irritated/rankled by some of the things. OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes the h's sister causes major drama throughout the book and the H is jealous of OM that the h is around I loved Ares family too. They were super supportive and loyal to Raven. Can’t wait to read their stories.

Ares and Raven (I love their names) were one power couple. So many obstacles and through it all they worked for their relationship, compromised and stood united. From day one of their marriage of convenience they decided to communicate with each other, what may come. I loved that. Also immediately after they got married, Things were a mess. They would say one thing but do another and think another. Both of them got confused and then they started confusing ME! Better sweet memories wasn't the best but but at least it had a plot it had an essence it had something to focus on other than the Bad Romance but this one it was bad romance mixed with over the top unnecessary drama literally the soul plot of this book was other woman drama and the other woman being her sister and it didn't help that the main male character was an absolute dumbass Ultimately, this book is not perfect, and if I think too long about it, it had its issues and I keep finding more... but this was the second billionaire romance that I have read recently and I absolutely enjoyed the shit out of it! I had a great time reading it as it was a perfect escape to relax and get out of your head.
