Description

neoStat and neoAir communicate wirelessly to the neoHub to offer a reliable and scalable network system that you can control from your SmartPhone. The mains powered neoStat automatically repeats the data signal from other neoStat/neoAir in the home. If there are no neoStat’s installed, the neoAir communicates directly with the neoHub and so the neoPlug or Boost can be used to extend the communication distance. neoAir: The neoAir is battery powered, and is designed to work with the RF Switch (supplied in the neoAir Kit) or the UH8-RF 8 Zone Wiring Centre. Flexible Programming: Your neoStat can be setup to work in non programmable, weekday/weekend, 7 day or 24 hour programming mode. The neoHub Gen 2 handles all of the network communication between the neoStat & neoAir room thermostats and the smart plug “neoPlug” enabling you to control your multi zone heating, hot water and appliances from anywhere. Function-wise, I’ve tried to cover the most common use cases, but if I’ve missed something or there are other device-types that need to be supported, that’s what the beta period is intended to identify.

neoHub creates a Mesh Network to the powered Neo devices, greatly increasing the network range in your home. INFO heatmiser v0.2Beta Heatmiser neoHub: WS Connect returned: ok=true, code=nil, headers=table: 0x19e5d58 from the neohub to the neoStat. The signal is then bounced with the same strength to the next thermostat so the signal from the hub has virtually zero chance of ever being too weak to connect. If it does, we recommend installing the Heatmiser Neo app to gain access to the wireless sensor function. If you are using the Heatmiser Neo App and don't see the Sensor menu, it means your neoHub doesn't support the RF Wireless Sensors. The Heatmiser neoAir Kit v2 includes a neoAir v3-M, RF Switch and neoHub Gen 2 allowing you to take control of your heating, hot water and appliances from anywhere. Easy to install, using profiles and recipes are much easier than programming at the thermostat and you can achieve more. New Settings option in neoStat devices to show combination of temperature and operating state (heating, idle) on the dashboard. Not that this will create a tile that is 4x normal size, and there are bugs in the iOS app that may make this option objectionable for iphone users (the temperature has the word “Connected” appended to it, and the icon for the operating state field is a permanent spinner; note that these issues are cosmetic, and don’t affect the functionality)

Paired to Zone: Selecting this lets pair to a zone already in your system. You can then specify if the sensor averages with the sensor in the thermostat or is a remote sensor only. If you select remote only, additional sensors paired would create an average temperature.

Cloud Server Connection: The neoHub Gen 2 effortlessly connects to the Heatmiser Cloud Servers, eliminating the need for complex technical setup. Mesh Networking: With the neoHub Gen 2 managing network traffic, data is routed from neoStat to neoStat using the most efficient path. This mesh networking capability ensures excellent coverage throughout your home. The neoPlug can be used to boost the signal in areas with weak signals. All rooms are updated automatically when any changes are made. Heatmiser neoHub is the gateway to the Neo System, providing remote control of all neoStat’s and neoPlug’s from your iOS or Android device. This driver has had limited testing by a few of our community members* during development, but it’s time now to open it up to a wider audience. This PDF instruction manual is for the Heatmiser neoHub (2nd generation) Smart Heating Hub. Heatmiser neoHub (2nd generation) Smart Heating Hub

After your neoStat/neoAir have been installed in your home, the neoHub is plugged into your home broadband router to supply the Internet connection and wirelessly connect to the neoStats. That’s it!

If your internet connection is lost you won’t be able to control your home heating system via the app. However you can still control the heating via the buttons on the thermostats. Smart Profiles - Allow you to program time and temperature settings and then apply them to a number of zones. Any subsequent change to the profile will be automatically applied to those zones using the profile. In-Home and Remote Access: Once all your Neo devices are paired with the neoHub Gen 2, you gain convenient in-home and remote access to control your heating, hot water, and appliances.
