In April 2015, two limited-edition Record Store Day double LPs, Live at the Hammersmith Apollo 16.10.2010 Volume 1 and Live at the Hammersmith Apollo 16.10.2010 Volume 2, were issued for independent record stores in the UK. Towards the end of 1988, Coleman and Walker revived the band and began looking for full-time bass players and drummers. First on board was drummer Martin Atkins, who had gained notability in Public Image Ltd. A suitable bass player proved more difficult. Former Smiths member Andy Rourke was hired, then dismissed after only three days. Eventually the band settled on Welsh bass player Dave "Taif" Ball, and played their first gigs in almost two years in December 1988. [30] Touring continued across the UK, Europe and the US until August 1989, when the band took a break to record new material in Germany and allow Coleman time to record Songs from the Victorious City with Anne Dudley of Art of Noise. Reunion of the original line-up (2008–present) [ edit ] Killing Joke plays live in Paris during the 2008 tour (Le Trabendo, 27 September 2008).Industrial music is a very subjective term. It either refers to the far more literal soundscapes and ambient noise experiments of bands like Throbbing Gristle and SPK, or it can imply a more subtle attitude and instrumentation influence in the shape of bands like Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy and Nitzer Ebb. Regardless of this the term has been banded about in an unequivocally careless way, all music from senseless pop with a slightly harsh drumbeat to extreme metal which sounds like a high powered meat-grinder have now been addled with the term 'industrial', all for the sake of neat pigeonholed genre-pooling.

Night Time One of the best pop albums of the ‘80s in my opinion. It might be Killing Joke’s, but it’s not at all far removed from what you might expect by that description. It’s closer to The Cure than anything else, as though it were THE album they were meant to make but didn’t because they spent the mid ‘80s being quite, well, mid. I did play a few songs from this album to my friend yesternight and she thought it was them, and I’m sure I would’ve needed a few minutes to realise myself if I hadn’t known what I was listening to in advance. Basically, if you enjoy The Cure then you know what to do. Top 2000. "Love Like Blood van Killing Joke uit 1985 in Top 2000" (in Dutch) .
