I could warn you to arm yourself with a fan to cool off from the OHMYGODHOT sex. But I would be remiss if I didn't also at least mention two other major points. One: We finally learn the identity of the Ghost and it's revealed in fabulous fashion. And two: the ending is huge. It will change the course of the series. It speaks to just how epic the romance is, however, that when the story is done, that's really all you'll be thinking about.

As you know I’m one of your biggest fans. I’ve read your Psy-Changeling series since the beginning, starting with Slave to Sensation, which is my all time favorite book in this series, although now Heart of Obsidian may tie for that spot. Sascha and Lucas will always hold a special place in my heart. You also know I'm a big fan girl (if not the biggest) for a specific character introduced in Visions of Heat, the second book. This is Kaleb Krychek, a deadly cardinal Tk and one of the heads of the Psy Council who with a blink of an eye can kill a person where they stand. It wasn’t until Mine to Possess, book 4, where I started keeping a very close watch on Kaleb. I knew the moment he started sweating on a balcony in that book after an intense workout, I guess you should say my spidey senses tingled. I knew at one point Kaleb would be “reformed” and become one of your heroes at one point, although the consensus of your readers thought otherwise. I’ve waited 5 years for Kaleb to be in the spotlight. Finally his time has come in Heart of Obsidian. We met Kaleb in previous books and he always came across as this cold, unapproachable psy with unlimited power. He seemed to have the perfect Silence. But in this story, we get to see his other side that he only shows to Sahara and it's sooooo beautiful how much he cares for her and how he's with her. He waited a long time for them to be together in a room again. I'm so happy for him. With Tangle of Need, I was willing to cryptically answer questions, but I'm not going to do that with Heart of Obsidian. As I said previously, the book is so tightly focused, a hint about one thing could also apply to everything. so feel free to speculate in the comments, but I will not confirm or deny anything. However, I will tell you that my personal theory about the Ghost was very wrong. Oh, and the hero. It did make me laugh when Kaleb lost a bit of control but I also loved seeing Sahara experiencing things. The "educational" videos were a hoot and just sooo something Kaleb would do. Along the way Kaleb will muse upon enduring British traditions like Morris Dancing and country fairs with his trademark warmth and deadpan wit. For fans of Kaleb's unique perspective and amusing hot takes, this will be a must-read.A sensual story about two people that should have been broken, but they were meant for greatness and allowed love to show them the way. Every touch, every breath brings them closer but it may tear them apart and make the world crumble under their power. I have no idea what to say that would do this book justice. Nada. It's perfect! Nalini always writes amazing, heart-wrenching stories, but this... wow. I was caught from the begining, through the end: I cried(a lot, I have the headache to prove it:D), I laughed, I was in awe... what's more to say?
