Filled with behind-the-scenes facts and insights, it’s the perfect way to keep the magic and mystery of the Harry Potter films close to your heart. It's time to pass the magic on with this brand-new edition of the classic and internationally bestselling phenomenon that is Harry Potter!

This extraordinary collection is a fantastic gift for all Harry Potter fans, young and old - sure to take pride of place on any bookshelf! To help their young new recruit with his cover, Bloomsbury sent Taylor a printout of the manuscript to read, complete with scribbled editors’ notes and underlines. He read it on the train, becoming one of the first people in the world to come across words such as “Quidditch”, “Hogwarts” and “Gryffindor”, and to meet the boy whose image he would be bringing to life. The cover, designed by Thomas Taylor, for the 25th anniversary edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Multibuys

I have to say, this one surprised me. What might seem trivial turned out to be the beating heart of this world. These things are the foundations that the Wizarding World is built upon, the glue that holds it together. And they are absolutely beautiful and full of colour and detail.

Henry and Pawl and the Round Yellow Ball, co-written with her husband, Tom Casmer (Dial, 2005), LCCN 2003-2355 Abbey, Cherie D. (2004). Biography Today: Profiles of People of Interest to Young Readers. Author Series, Volume 14. Omnigraphics, Inc. p.61. ISBN 0-7808-0652-2 . Retrieved 2023-07-08. One small quibble: I do hope the publishers will re-print a revised edition of this to include information from Part II of The Deathly Hallows. Unfortunately, this edition only covered The Sorcerers Stone through Part I of The Deathly Hallows. It would be wonderful to have more information on the finale and beyond. It had seemed like a good warm-up job for an aspiring young illustrator: create some artwork for a new children’s book about a schoolboy wizard. Twenty-five years on, and Taylor’s cover has become one of the most recognisable images in world literature. The Thread of Life: Twelve Old Italian Tales, retold by Domenico Vittorini (Crown, 1995), OCLC 28709363; Running Press Kids; New Ed edition, 2003 In a June 2007 St. Paul Pioneer Press article, GrandPré revealed that six months prior, she and her husband went to China, where they adopted a little girl. [13] Selected works [ edit ] Poetry collections [ edit ] Everybody involved in these eight films knows that we have been part of something very special, and that there will never be another experience like this one," proclaims producer David Heyman in the introduction. He's right, of course, and while the people who made the movies were there for births, marriages, divorces and even deaths, fans have been along for the ride, hoping for a chance to sit in the front seat. This is finally it!

Don't hate me for this people! Here's the thing, the artwork is BEAUTIFUL, don't get me wrong, BUT if you've read the movie books, aka artifacts, locations, creatures, characters, etc, where they show you the behind the scene stuff...we've seen the majority of these photos before. Therefore, for the price, it's hard to justify buying this book..again. And the worst part is, they sealed the book so you don't realize this until AFTER you buy it. Granted, the pictures are in a bigger format so you can see some newer details you might have missed before, but, for the price, I expected a lot more. I wanted a lot more newer photos, newer things we hadn't seen, etc. There's very little writing in the book, no chapters with explanations (for example, we see that indeed they had planned on making Hermione's dress Periwinkle Blue! There's even artwork to prove it!) but we don't know why things were changed etc. When he finished reading, the manuscript went onto “a pile of scrap paper that I used to draw on”, he recalls. “And then the remains of it went in the recycling bin. I didn’t think it was worth keeping.” Seriously, any fan of Harry Potter would be practically drooling over this book if they had any sense at all. It is highly enjoyable and it points out small details that are in the movies that you never noticed before. It is a seriously awesome book.No I think every person who can appreciate a good film, appreciate imagination and creativity will be impressed by this book. Is the book worth it..eh..maybe. If you haven't read the movie magic/vault books, then by all means, yes this book is worth it. If you want to read the artifact vault, movie locations, etc books, then maybe hold off on this one as all those books are expensive as well, and you will learn a lot more from those books than this one.
