There is a short section with a few details of what is to come for season three, so if you are just itching for any and all news, you’ll probably need to give it a read. Overall, this is a fun book and will make a great Christmas present for fans!

Who is in the cast of Stranger Things: The First Shadow?

As Hopper pieces together the truth, he's forced to go undercover to infiltrate a notorious gang known as the Vipers and discover their involvement with the three murders. Alice is used to fairly gracefully dip our toes into what we know to the the Upside Down, as well as introducing the Demogorgon and Demodogs. Not much is done with this knowledge, other than occasionally reminding us that it is there. Her real time to shine is when she can capitalize on her visions, and use them to the gain of the team.

However, make no mistake, Suspicious Minds also offers up a completely brand-new experience. We are thrown into another era, the late 60’s in this instance, where the country is a very different place than the 80’s setting of the show—socially, culturally, economically, and politically. Bond has done her homework, ensuring that her story feels at least historically convincing. Furthermore, instead of focusing on a group of middle school protagonists, this novel follows an older crowd—college-aged, to be exact. This not only puts Terry Ives at the right age when all this went down, it also serves to make this book more appealing to a wider audience, i.e. older viewers of the show who might find a “new adult” book more palatable than a YA label. Jsem si jistá, že pokud Stranger Things milujete, z knížky budete ještě o chlup nadšenější, než já. Zatímco já si užívala skvěle popsanou atmosféru, zákulisí gangů nebo policejní práci v utajení, vy navíc mezitím zjistíte tolik Hopperovi!😁 The content of this book was fantastic. It was interesting to learn more about the creators of the show, the Duffer Brothers, and their inspirations for the series. There were also interviews with members of the crew, from costume designers to visual-effects specialists, which gave an fascinating insight into the production of the series, while the actors offered interesting perspectives on their roles. There were plenty of on location photos which enabled you to see more of certain sets and notice things that were not so easy to spot while watching the show. The book concluded with a look to the future in the form of Stranger Things 3, which made me even more excited for the new season. Suspicious Minds isn't bad, but it suffered badly from the writing. I do kinda hope there's a sequel, though, because there are several characters in here I want to see again.New York Times Bestselling author Adam Christopher’s debut novel EMPIRE STATE was SciFiNow’s Book of the Year and a Financial Times Book of the Year. The author of MADE TO KILL, STANDARD HOLLYWOOD DEPRAVITY, and KILLING IS MY BUSINESS, Adam’s other novels include SEVEN WONDERS, THE AGE ATOMIC, and THE BURNING DARK. The novel also carries us through the development of Brenner’s research. We see him arrive for the first time at Hawkins National Laboratory and have to engage in several power battles to cement his superiority. Brenner is accompanied by Eight, also known as Kali, the first of his test subjects to truly show promise in his field of study. Kali is young when Brenner brings her to live at Hawkins and the nature of their relationship seems much more antagonistic than the one-way relationship Brenner was able to exert over Eleven. Stranger Things is one of my favorite shows. Every time I received Stranger Things books or any related stuffs, I felt so excited for them. Plus there are a number of loose ends that at the very least you can let play out in your imagination and so spin off all sorts of other tales.

The HIGHEST recommendation possible, based solely on McIntyre's text, which was utterly fascinating and chronicled the origins of a show that's come to redefine the generation. The interior and exterior designs were secondary and served as a massive bonus. It's the summer of 1969. The world is changing, and Terry Ives isn't content to watch from the sidelines. When word gets around about an important government experiment, she signs on as a test subject. There are some nice cameos from characters I won't name to avoid spoilers but will say that this novel (set in the late 1960's and early 1970's) leads in nicely to the series proper while also providing plenty of wiggle room for more stories set prior to season 1. I've always found Hopper an intriguing character with a lot of potential for further exploration and development, particularly from a noir or hard-boiled perspective - and while the second official Stranger Things novel goes some ways to achieving that, it leans heavy towards a more mainstream crime focus with hints of the other worldly thrown in in an attempt to tie it with Netflix series. As the novel opens, it is the first Christmas for our little found family, and Hopper is feeling a little out of his depth but still trying his hardest to be a good father to the 11-year-old girl, now called Jane “El” Hopper. Over the holidays though, El has been exploring, digging an old cardboard box simply labeled “New York” out of the basement. Full of questions, El brings the box’s contents to Hopper and asks her new dad for a story. What did he do in New York before he decided to return to his sleepy hometown of Hawkins, Indiana? And why did he leave here in the first place? How come he never talks about his past?

Have you heard enough about Stranger Things from your friends or seen enough about it online that you think you understand what it is about? Unfortunately, yes, you did read that correctly. Stranger Things: Suspicious Minds was not the book I hoped it would be, and the reason is that it is simply... bland. The story doesn't go anywhere. As a fan of the show, I already knew where it was going, but I hoped it would at least answer some questions, fill in the blanks. And it did that, just not in an interesting way. It starts at point A and goes to point B. That's it.One of the driving forces of Stranger Things is its big heart and the realistic way that the characters interact with one another. This book just doesn't have that. Also, Dr. Brenner is barely present. He was another reason why I wanted to read this book, to get in his head and find out more about him. He was an interesting character in the show, but he didn't have much time to shine. Sadly, this book doesn't give him that much time either. Reluctant to tell El everything she wants to know, Hopper nonetheless knows that being honest and sharing information about himself would go a long way in reinforcing their relationship. The question is, how much to share? Tentatively, Hopper decides to begin with his return to the United States after serving in Vietnam. Looking for a change of pace and more career prospects, he decides to join the NYPD, starting life with his young family in New York City. Soon, he is busy enough working tough cases that frequently take time away with his wife Diane and daughter Sara, but in spite of this, they are happy. That is, until some shady federal agents start showing up, removing the NYPD from their latest case involving a series of bizarre cultish murders and confiscating all the files related to it. However, Hopper isn’t the kind of man to just let these things go, and unfortunately for him, his doggedness has not gone unnoticed. Overall, this is an entertaining story that feels true to the character of Jim Hopper and is a fun addition to the Stranger Things franchise. Another weird issue I had with this novel is the LSD testing Hawkins lab was doing on their test subjects. Every week, Terry and her friends are pumped full of acid to uncover any hidden abilities they may have. Every week. But do any of the subjects encounter a single health complication due to the drug? Not one. I know this isn't the focus of the book, but it feels unrealistic to me.
