If you prefer a duvet to a sleeping bag, do consider that sheets in top of the surface of a SIM or air bed can be a bit sweaty. The lightest modern versions need blowing up with a few breaths, but they do give you a mini-airbed experience for just a few hundred grams in weight, so if you pair one with a lightweight sleeping bag you still won't be weighed down.

An inflatable camping pillow: The camping pillow is an extremely compact, easy-to-inflate accessory that will take up very little space in your rucksack. If you need a temporary bed at home to get out from time to time, this is a step up from an airbed or mattress on the floor (although you will still need a mattress).In use we found it was very comfortable but we sadly did not have long to do an overnight test – one for the future, but we still recommend the Dam CamoVision if you have the space. The beds have been taken out and tested on various car camping and backpacking adventures, in a range of conditions, to assess how light they are to carry and small they can be packed, as well as the warmth and comfort they offer when in use.
