The Hesh 3 carries a V-shaped sound signature with a slightly more forward midbass, leaning towards treble and technical issues due to its treble performance, which I’ll go into below. The sound is tuned for consumers, and as such has a classic EQ tuning — boosted lows and highs, and a slight dip in mids. BT Wireless are better mixed-usage headphones than the Skullcandy Hesh 3 Wireless, thanks to their app that gives you access to a good EQ.

If you're looking for more bass, check out the Marshall Mid Bluetooth, the JBL E55BT, and the Sony MDR-XB650BT. The headphones also feature a similar build-quality as the Crusher headphones — they’re mostly built out of plastic, but the plastic seems generally strong and able to handle most abuse you can throw at it. The vocals get a crisp treble edge, and the guitar strums and percussive attacks get some bright, well-defined presence as well.There’s no automatic play and pause function when you take the headphones off to help you avoid missing out on your music. Listen carefully and it sounds like some vocal lines are being backed-up by a quiet rustling of crisp packets. It could be either, but since the Hesh 3 don’t support the higher-quality aptX codec, it could well be the Bluetooth stream at fault.They mention that the noise isolation isn't great, the wireless connection lasts quite a distance, and the charging is fine.

As expected, Skully candy’s bass-heavy sound signature is present with the Hesh 3 but it’s not overbearing. One good thing and if the headphones did not hurt when on the fact you get 22 hours of battery and you get rapid battery charge in just over 1 hour. The Hesh 3 have a greater wireless range, a slightly better-balanced sound, and a lighter and more comfortable design. While the Skullcandy Hesh 3 don’t come with a carrying case, they fold flat or up for easy transport.
