In honor of the 10th Anniversary of Eragon, a special edition of the runaway bestseller with a blue faux leather cover, six pieces of exclusive artwork from award-winning artists John Jude Palencar (original artist of the Inheritance Cycle book covers), Michael Hague, Donato Giancola, Ciruelo Cabral, and Raoul Vitale, as well as Christopher Paolini. Reading some of the reviews, it appears some people thought it was a cliched version of Lord of the Rings. As a biologist who loves dragons and is learning welsh, the illustrations, stories, and dragon names have made this set the perfect gift for myself!

Throughout the novel, the protagonists travel to many different places: Ellesméra, the elven capital city in the forest Du Weldenvarden, on the northern portion of Alagaësia; Carvahall, a small town located on the northwestern part of Alagaësia in Palancar Valley; and Aberon, the capital of Surda, in the southern portion of Alagaësia. Despite its classic quest format there are enough new ideas and twists and turns to make it stand out among its legion of competitors in the genre. Murtagh’s point of view is kept vividly distinct, and it contains a visceral anger over injustices that are expressed at a new level of intensity.Fifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy—until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. His second novel, Eldest, sold more than 425,000 hardcover copies in its first week, making it the greatest single-week sale ever recorded for a Random House Children’s Books title—hardcover or paperback—and the fastest-selling title in the publisher’s history. Instead of a saddle, the king had installed a small pavilion on the hump of Shruikan’s enormous shoulders.Identical to the Eldest: Limited Edition apart from the text on the spine that says “DELUXE EDITION” and a different gold sticker on the dust jacket. Eldest begins as Ajihad, the king of the rebel Varden force, is ambushed and killed, while The Twins and Murtagh are assumed dead.

But as things turned out, this is the first book that took me away in uncharted lands,it was my Brom to the fantasy world. He has to decide if avenging a family member’s death is more important than saving the corrupt kingdom from a dark rider named Galbatorix. In a welcome change, Thorn is no longer merely a plot vehicle; with the intimate rider-dragon bond on display, a terrified, confused young dragon still learning who he is shares center stage.A very good book to cuddle up with on a cool fall day or during the winter when you need a good adventure to bring you out of being stuck in your house. Publishers Weekly also gave a positive review for Eldest, praising the revelations in the final pages.

Although written by a homeschooled teenager (and it definitely shows, especially in the sequels), I was entertained by this novel. The collector’s edition also features six glossy, full-colour original illustrations by award-winning artists John Jude Palencar (original artist of the Inheritance Cycle book covers), Michael Hague, Donato Giancola, Ciruelo Cabral, and Raoule Vitale, as well as Christopher Paolini himself. Two or three years ago, everywhere I went there was some display attempting to sell me Eragon, by Christopher Paolini. wow, so i wrote a scathing review of Christopher Paolini's book when i was a very passionate but stupid and embittered seventeen-year-old. The publisher may actually state the words ‘first edition’ or ‘first printing’ on the copyright page.

Eventually, in an ancient elven ceremony, the Agaetí Blödhren, Eragon is affected by powerful magic, turning him into an elf-human hybrid, and healing his back injury.
