At the beginning of the story, i really liked their characters but at the end they were intolerable. it was originally five stars for me, but something happened at the 74% mark that had me lower my rating just a bit. Storyline; there was no character development and if you think that you will get a lot of letters being passed on then you are mistaken.

Those chapters were well written because they gave the characters some depth, some reason, and made me like the characters enough to read on. I picked this up because of a Booktok video I saw, and while there was some stuff I enjoyed (the romance was cute, and the premise was fun), it ended up not being for me. Can we, maybe, inject a bit of realism in YA romances: you have to study SOMETIME if you want to maintain your college scholarship, right? And we get to watch them get to know each other in both worlds- which creates the most nuanced and interesting chemistry. I know that because of this book I’ll be reading a LOT more books from Eliah Greenwood in the near future!I also enjoyed the side characters and hope she will continue with them and make it an interconnected series.
