To me, "K" smells nothing like those, and if you have to compare it to anything, it belongs more in the 'green' family of colognes . Heart notes ignite the citruses with the amber accents of clary sage, married with crisp geranium and energizing lavandin.

So yeah, fresh and pleasant, perhaps a bit generic, but it has a certain personality and I don't really see anything to dislike here. Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. It's a bit difficult to pull off with style, and while I don't think it smells like a salted pickle, I sure understand what people mean by it when they say that.The citruses burn off of this one quickly, and it goes to that woody, green, aromatic territory I mentioned. The output has a bitter citrus scent that soon gives way to a coniferous herbal accord, where I think the juniper is the one that produces that sensation and is the main scent of this fragrance.

It's slightly sweeter than any of those, especially in the opening, but that juniper berry in "K" is definitely the star of the show. I have another clary sage heavy fragrance in Gai Matiolo’s Uomo, but it’s almost too overbearing there. There are many fragrances that can do exactly what 'K' does, however does it with some style and character. The base welcomes more wood notes than the Eau de Toilette, and the lasting impression is handsome, grown-up, and confident. Seductive, generous and charismatic, he is the king of his everyday life; a natural leader who cherishes his loved ones and inspires everyone around him.It’s nothing special though, it fits the standard clean smelling/blue-like fragrance which is what they were going for. I wanted to hate this because I don't like spicy or green fragrances, but that opening is seriously good. Then the heat of summer came and I took out Eros, Missoni, and this and found that K performed the best and worked really well in hot weather.
