About this deal

She's naughty to turn out; she pulls away in the gateway before you've released her, earning her the label of 'dangerous' at our previous yard It's taken over a year of development and inspiration from the human hair care industry to find ingredients that not only work magic on your horses hair, but also do no harm to the environment in the process. As you'd expect from us, it's been created and made from cruelty-free ingredients just down the road from Honest Riders HQ with love, care and as low a carbon footprint as we could possibly make it! He is the most willing, honest horse in the world. He's straightforward to train, clever and will do anything for you. He has given me so much confidence especially jumping because he never stops, never let's me down and always looks after me. He also is up for everything and will try his best and enjoys himself wether it's dressage, SJ, XC whatever. As the name suggests, the White + Bright Bar is formulated for greys and coloured horses. Made with a blend of coconut oil, alkanet root, lavender, rosemary and lemongrass this soap is perfect for lifting stains and getting whites clean again.

Silicones are hydrophobic which means they repel water. On the plus side, they coat the hair, giving it a temporarily silky feel. However, silicone also displaces water. When applied to horse hair, the very precious moisture content of just 3% is reduced and the protein bonds that make up 97% of hair become less stable and more liable to break. You'll notice that it also builds up over time, leaving the hair lank, harder to comb through and compelling us to use even more! This product can also be applied direct to the coat/mane/tail for extra shine as required, although bear in mind it is oil-based so use sparingly! So continue to question the practice of horse racing we must. In the theatre of public opinion, a respectable future for the sport is a long shot. Racing can scarcely wade its way through one scandal before another is upon it. After the suspect death of Medina Spirit in December there was the tragic story of five-year-old Creative Plan in February, for which no one will be held accountable. Same for the bizarre injustice that befell eight-year-old stallion Laoban at upscale WinStar Farm. Mane & Tail Elixir is made from 100% natural, renewable ingredients. We've avoided anything synthetic and replaced it with pure, unadulterated conditioning goodness from mother nature. He has to be turned out on his own and he enjoys chewing his field mates rugs and their owners get fed up of their horses rugs being torn. isn't a show quality pony (but that gives me an excuse to buy another pony so it's not really bad ) The essential oil blend of lime, bergamot and cedarwood leaves your horses feeling calm and their coats smelling citrus-y fresh. So that's why we decided to start from scratch and take inspiration from the world of natural (human) hair care with our new product.

The bar can either be rubbed directly onto the horse’s coat, or used inside a sisal bag, which offers additional scrubbing power. The bars feature a natural twine rope so customers can easily hang the soap up to dry after each use. The Mane & Tail Elixir is a conditioning product designed to detangle, smooth, nourish and repair mane & tail hair. It can be applied wet or dry and used regularly will improve the condition and strength of your horses hair. Featuring lavender oil for its anti-bacterial properties along with rosemary to ease their skin and peppermint to ease muscles, leaving them smelling super fresh. We've spent 6 months researching and trialling the very best blend of natural ingredients to create the ultimate sustainable coat care product for your horses. The result is a unique blend of natures best: If you can witness a young horse die catastrophically in a race or in training and move on from it with no more than a pang of remorse, you are a detriment to racehorses. If you can publicly mourn the death of a horse who ran notably but ignore altogether the death of a horse who did not, you are a detriment to racehorses. It is a normal response for the violent death of an innocent animal to impact a person in such a way as to make them turn away. If you can repeatedly witness horses die and continue to engage with “the game” then it is not the public, or the animal rights activists, who don’t understand, but you who has been desensitized. I speak from personal experience.

SAFELY REHOMING HORSES

Skip refused to attempt it. He’s had an issue with water crossings since he went blind in his right eye…I think maybe related to depth perception and if I ask him to do something a couple of times and he really puts his hoof down about it, I don’t push it. I thought some of those riders were nuts with what they were asking their horses to do! He was honest in his refusal, and I tried to be an honest owner in not pressing him to do something he (and I!) felt was dangerous. The Super Cleanse Bar c ontains coconut oil for the deepest clean. It really has been designed for the grubbiest of horses. The bar can either be rubbed directly onto the horse’s coat, or used inside a sisal bag, which offers additional scrubbing power. The bars feature a natural twine rope so you can easily hang the soap up to dry after each use. I’d say my boy Skip is honest (because he’s PERFECT doncha know????
